Very close to echigo yuzawa station Surrounded by ski resort and delicious restaurants. Breakfast is great value. Recommend you come and stay.
Self- check in but they have manual how to check in and get the key in the key locker

Das Hotel ist mit einem Skiverleih und dem Verkauf von Skilifttickets ausgestattet. Der Preis ist günstiger als der Kauf vor Ort. Das Frühstück ist gut und der Besitzer ist freundlich. Einige Zimmer erfordern öffentliche Toiletten. Der Zug zum Hotel ist sehr entfremdet. Es gibt keine Restaurants in der Nähe. Wenn Sie nachts in der Stadt essen gehen möchten, müssen Sie in den Rückzug umsteigen oder ein Taxi nehmen. Ich hoffe, das Hotel kann eine Waschmaschine installieren.

民宿位置方便，由越後湯澤站東口出，行大約5分鐘就到。 我們入住榻榻米房，空間可以把行李打開。 房間附有廁所，但沖涼要去公眾地方。

First of all, thank you for hosting! Although the building has no lift, but he is so kind and helped me to carry my luggage all the way up to the room. The room is huge, just a bit tough in the morning because there are no hot water. Outdoor onsen was great. Please check out on time, the staff came in exactly at 10am. Sadly this trip I ran out of time, so next time when I visit here, Im gonna go 魚沼の里 and 雲洞庵, thanks for the recommendation from the hotel 😉

BBrandonVery nice place to stay! Quiet during the spring/summer period due to the area being more popular in winter. Very near Echigo Yuzawa Station within 5min walk. Was welcomed into the hotel nicely with complimentary matcha and snack. Upon check in there was even a cute Gachapon game in which you could win one of their special Niigata/Yuzawa stuff! I won a small pack of Niigata rice.
Room was clean and spacious with a comfy futon bed. The public baths were so nice and well maintained! The staff here are very friendly and attentive. If you did not reserve their special dinner/breakfast set, you can still do say with 2 days advanced order over the front desk. I also love that they provide free shuttle to the station at check out upon request! Definitely staying here again if ever back in the area 🫶🏼

3. Front desk have a local Japanese staff that can speak English. Pretend to be nice not. Anything else , he will tell you don’t know. Go find yourself. Besides selling tickets that he will earn money. You’ll get no information from him
4. 1st day check-in, my in room hot spring tub is slimy n dirty stained wil algae. I scrub a lot out and took video. Same Japanese man came and nothing. Till I show him the algae I’ve scrub and the video, he kept quiet. Housekeeping do scrub off within 30mins
5. Breakfast is same everyday
6. Dinner, slight changes but still 99% same.
7. Child meal is hopeless.
Stayed for 5nights, same meals daily.
8. Want to bring a cake to dinner to celebrate my Daughters Birthday, we were forbidden to do so. Nothing besides what they bring to you.
9. Onsen was good
10. Basic ice cream treats.
11. Simple ramen in the evening
Hotel is too rigid. It’s really expensive during our visits. The rules at dining and the same meals daily, it’s unbearable. Kids have nothing much to eat
For the price, I’ll not stay in this rigid property. Many other Ryokan resort for lesser price and better options. It’s not ski in ski out and yet price are too high.

Bitte benutzen Sie den West Exit in der Nähe des Hotels.
Die Aussicht im Hotel ist ideal für Entspannung.

SSilverGeckoThis is our 3rd week of 4 weeks exploring Japan and so far Yuzawa Grand is the best Ryokan Onsen experience we have had. We could have spent several days there it was sublime. We arrived in the morning and the staff were extremely welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. We had been told by the tourist centre at the train station that the gondola wasn’t operational for 3 days; however the Yuzawa Receptionist assured us that it was operating and showed us that they were even able to sell us tickets at a discount. She gave us a map and bus timetable, showing us where everything was. They stored our backpacks for us and off we went exploring and had a marvellous time. We soaked our feet in the foot baths while having a treat before catching the bus to the mountains. We came back to our gorgeous room which had a coffee pod machine in it. Was so nice having a coffee in the morning looking out the window. We enjoyed relaxing in the beautiful Onsens before dinner. The buffet at both dinner and breakfast was incredible, everything so beautifully presented and incredibly delicious.
Highly recommend this gorgeous hotel. The staff are fantastic and the ambiance very peaceful.

GGastnutzerVery bad experience, my husband placed his glasses into the ski-googles packing box, then we go out skiing at the morning, when we back after dinner and hot spring at night. we found the packing box is lost in the room. But we surely haven’t brought it out. We asked the staff, the staff help to ask the cleaners, but they just said have seen it. So we lost the glasses mysteriously. And we haven’t found it at last. My husband love this glasses very much and it lost unexpected in the room.

MMindy-WSehr aufmerksamer Service, es gibt eine chinesische Rezeption, mit dem Auto super bequem, die Station zu dem Schneeplatz zu bekommen, der Fahrermeister ist besonders enthusiastisch, wir starten am nächsten Tag eine neue trockene Linie aus dem Schneeplatz nach Tokio. Die Telefonrezeption hilft uns direkt, die Gepäcke in den Gala Schneeplatz zu schicken, es ist zu bequem.
Das Zimmer ist groß, obwohl ein bisschen alt, aber die Wartung ist sehr gut. Die große Schale im ersten Stock ist warm und kostenloses Schrotflaschen werden verwendet. Die Haut ist am nächsten Morgen sehr lustig. Kaffee und Eiskuchen sind auch kostenlos zur Verfügung. Die Soße ist zum Ende des besonderen Dufts. Die Möbel des Büros sind altmodische Baumstrukturen, sitzen dort und lesen Bücher, eine Menge Duft, besonders heilbar.
Wir kamen am Montag, als ich das Abendessen am nächsten Tag vorbehalten wollte, aber der Koch ruhte am Dienstag. Direkt am Wenxi Street essen, kann auch die Tanze Station zufrieden sein, fast nicht mit dem Gras. Montag, Dienstag, der Schneeplatz ist etwas weniger Menschen und das Gefühl der Erfahrung wird besser.
Vielen Dank noch einmal an die höchste Hälfte der Servicepersonal, die uns eine besonders angenehme Urlaubserfahrung gebracht hat. Nächstes Mal werden wir wiederkommen.

Food selection are quite a few but do try to get to Eki for more selections... Just take note of the last shuttle bus back to hotel.
In all the stay was good, just need to take note that this hotel is only allow SKI in / SKI out... But NOT SNOWBOARDING.... That you have to take shuttle bus to other resort location thru its skiing shuttle bus services...

GGastnutzerThe hotel is on the East side of the station which we hadn't stayed before. Its quieter then the West which was nice but still close to some restaurants and the main bus stops for ski resorts. Its about a 5 min walk from the station. We arrived and nobody was at reception and even dinging the bell we had to wait a while. It is a bit of a mess downstairs in reception with the owners clutter but that has nothing to do with your stay so not to worry. We did request a Japanese room if available but nothing was ever mentioned about that and we just got a western style twin. The owner didnt know much english so we didn't want to bother trying to explain. It was clean, neat and every day we got new towels, yukata, new tea, bed made etc. There is a dry room downstairs for your skis and boots and gear and everything was toasty and warm in the morning. You leave the key in the box when you leave each day and get it back from reception once you return, though if we went out for dinner again later or to the konbini we would just keep it on us. You have your own bathroom but they also have 1 Japanese Onsen and you can use it for private and lock the door. It was so nice to have private Onsen as we have rarely been able to have Onsen together in Japan as a couple. It is also a close walk to a Lawson so you don’t have to fight the other tourists for food at the 7 Eleven on the west side. Or you can go to Matsumoto KiYoshi at the station East side. The hotel was quiet when we were there. Perhaps there wasn't many guests or maybe they were just considerate and quiet people. I would stay here again for sure but would like to get a Japanese room next time.

Restaurants inside are nice, but heading out to the village once a while is good too. The walk to village is like 10 mins and very do-able!
