First of all, it is important to distinguish this, Mati Hotel, from the nearly-adjacent Hotel Mati. We chose to stay here as a moderately-priced and relatively close alternative to the pricey hotels near Athens airport. The hotel is dated in many respects, including the absence of electronic room keys. Nothing else appears to have been updated in recent years. The hallways seemed to easily carry sound from one end to the other. The hotel’s website lists parking as “Free! Private parking is possible on site (reservation is not needed.” I suppose that is technically true, but there are only a very few spaces by the entrance, and as far as I can tell, the rest you must find along the streets of Mati. Breakfasts were fine, and the staff worked hard to keep refreshing its items. I mention working hard because there were at least two different tour bus groups that stayed overnight. I do not know if that is true during peak season, but in our case, it was hard to locate an available breakfast table. The staff was wonderful in showing us to one. We felt hotels closest to Athens airport were significantly overpriced for value received. More moderately-priced options were harder to find, and in that respect, Mati Hotel satisfactorily served its purpose, but one night was enough.

Das Cabo Verde ist im Vergleich mit den Nachbarhotels kleiner und vielleicht deshalb angenehm und gemütlich. Meerblick vom Balkon, schöner Pool, gutes abwechslungsreiches Frühstück. ÜBERRAGEND ist die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter. Das habe ich absolut noch nie erlebt, dass durch die Bank alle Mitarbeiter so freundlich und hilfsbereit waren. Vielen Dank Cabo Verde Hotel 👏🏻

Very nice hotel , very clean , staff are super helpful and friendly Rooms are nice , all face the pool , with balcony Breakfast is a bit bland , same food everyday Bar is good , and staff bring around water during the day , prices quite reasonable for food and drinks Pool is good , very chilled and you don’t need to put towels on sun beds as there is loads Wedding at weekend was great to see , load music but once you shut bedroom door you couldn’t hear it Easy to get to Athens via bus and metro , takes about an hour , we went twice , no problem , costs 8€ , metro ticket last 24 hours , taxis are mega expenses Lots of nice restaurants along front in Nea Makri which is a nice walk Sadly no water sports anywhere nearby

Die Unterkunft ist in der Nähe von der Stadt und der Stadt. Das Badezimmer war groß, aber in der Notwendigkeit einer ernsthaften Update, die Dusche ging über das Badezimmer Stockwerk, das scheint nass zu bleiben!! Wir waren auf der sechsten Etage und es stinkt absolut die Minute, die Sie in Zigaretten gelaufen, es war sehr aus dem setzen zwei Nichtraucher, nicht sehr angenehm überhaupt. Nahrung war durchschnittlich, konnte immer etwas finden, aber wir fanden es nicht immer warm, nicht allein warm. This is not good practice in a buffet type situation (or any good food setting!) Eating area was probably the worst I've ever been in, depressing miserable canteen style with the most miserable staff we've ever seen! Das Eindrücken eines schwarzen Trolley rund um und die Reinigung von Platten und Dumping Nahrung neben Ihrem Tisch ist schrecklich und sollte wirklich von dem Hotel behandelt werden. Pool-Mitarbeiter freundlich. genügend Sonnenbetten um den Poolbereich. Hotel braucht ernsthafte Aktualisierung ist eine schöne Lage. Nicht viel um die Gegend, so dass Sie dort irgendwie gefangen sind, es ist eine 30-minütige Fahrt von der Verrücktheit von Athen so gut, wenn Sie sich entspannen wollen. Gäste waren meist Französisch. Ich glaube nicht, wir würden zurück, wenn keine ernsthafte Renovierung stattgefunden hat.

Das Hotel hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Sauberes, neues, modernes, leckeres Frühstück. Für diejenigen, die einen erholsamen Urlaub suchen. Es gibt wenig Unterhaltung. Es würde mehr Spaß machen, wenn es Musik am Pool gäbe. Dennoch hat es mir, je nachdem was man von dem Hotel erwartet, sehr gut gefallen. Es gibt keine besondere Unterhaltung

I cannot recommend the Myrto Hotel highly enough. We were a family of four from Dublin staying for a week. The pool, rooms and staff were among the best I've experienced and made a lasting impression. I would love to revisit. The location is great for a bit of city, seaside and pool combination. The rooms are bright and clean and the beds comfortable. The staff are very helpful and I think is a great choice for an offbeat holiday location and allows the city to be accessible but also gives you a lovely pool and close to the sea.
