Plenty of space in car park, comfortable room with good size bed and good bathroom, no hooks on back of shower room door where you are asked to place your towels! Let down by dining room. Walking into the dining room, one is left to one's own devices. A member of staff may come off the phone or finish writing to tell you where to sit, but not always. One or two staff tried their best, but generally staff were perfunctory and seemed to have no allegiance to their team. Food was fine, although the breakfast buffet was geared to avoiding waste and you might be lucky and asked if you would like an egg.

It's been quite a while since i last stayed at the Kings Arms... and this trip reminded me why! There is very little choice of Hotels in the area, and Kings Arms is centrally located in Westerham with many decent Pubs and Restaurants in close proximity. The Hotel had undergone a lot of fairly recent External Renovation and looks amazing from the outside... maybe one day they can progress to modernising the interior. Bar Area and Restaurant areas are absolutely fine, and you cannot fault the friendliness and helpfulness of the Staff. However, the journey upstairs with the threadbare carpet kinda lets you know what is instore for you inside the room. On this most recent stay, the room itself was HUGE! I booked a deluxe Double. Massive Bed, and ample furniture. Carpet threadbare in places and the Central Heating Radiator didn't work. A small Electric heater had been placed in the room, but due to the enormity of the size, it was inadequate to produce any real warmth in the room. Poor quality lighting.. but i thinks that made me by design! The Bathroom was equally large, but similar to the room (and others i've stayed in previous) i suspect maybe the 1980's was the last time it had a facelift. It was adequate to take a wee, and clean my teeth.. but i could only imagine my wife's reaction to the sheer thought of taking a Bath in there! It's such a shame really... perfect location to stay for either Business while working at Biggin Hill Airport, or for a weekend getaway with the wife. However, if the latter... i would seriously advise to take a look across the road. You'll have a much happier wife!! This could be an amazing hotel - but it sure does need a lot of work on the inside.

Buchte eine Übernachtung mit meiner 13-jährigen Tochter. Das Parken war in Ordnung, viele Plätze. Das Zimmer war ideal und sauber. Das Restaurant war sehr schön, ich konnte das Abendessen nicht bemängeln und auch ein tolles Frühstücksbuffet. Unsere einzige Irritation war der Pool, der an dem Tag, an dem wir eincheckten, in Ordnung war, aber am nächsten Morgen kamen wir an, um ihn wieder zu benutzen. Niemand hat uns gewarnt, dass wir 15 Minuten Zeit haben würden, bevor die Wassergymnastik für Tagesbesucher beginnt, und wir wurden gebeten, den Pool zusammen mit einer anderen kleinen Familie zu verlassen, deren jüngere Kinder offensichtlich sehr verärgert waren. Auf der Website sollte deutlich gemacht werden, dass der Pool für Hotelgäste zu bestimmten Zeiten nicht verfügbar ist. Dies würde den Gästen dann die Möglichkeit geben, alternative Hotels zu überprüfen, da dies ein wichtiger Faktor für unseren Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel war.

Das Hotel war sauber und das Personal war sehr freundlich. Die Lage war schwer zu finden, aber insgesamt war ein schöner Aufenthalt. Bonus, dass es einen Whs 24hr Markt gab!

Ein sehr gutes Erlebnis, der Empfangsmann war hilfreich bei der Eincheckung, das Zimmer war sauber mit guter Aussicht und das Frühstücksbuffet war gut. Starbucks Kaffee serviert auch im Barbereich, zum Trinken oder zum Abnehmen. Ich habe das Gesundheitszentrum nicht benutzt, aber ich sah ziemlich gut aus. Ruhe, sauber und effizient - würde wieder verwendet.

A very well run country pub/hotel. We stayed here after returning from France. It is ideally suited for a stop off after crossing via the Shuttle or Dover ferries. Excellent food and wine selection, although I would have liked a wider range of ales for a pub associated with a major brewery. Everyone was extremely friendly and we loved our stay. (By the way it is 'Three Elm' Lane, not number 3 Elm Lane)
