From the moment I arrived I was given the VIP treatment. All the staff were helpful from helping me with the correct car parking procedure as I was running late. The meal was an outstanding five course which deserved a Michelin Star, at an unbelievably competitive price. I should have photographed at least the main course, starter & desert. Very sorry. The function room when I think about it now, was a bit on the bland side but wasn’t noticeable on the day due to the great company I was with and the wonderful band that entertained us. The restaurant area was more cosy and intimate, so ignore the bland function room. The whole hotel was immaculate and spacious with large rooms and plenty of car parking spaces. Wishing people a nice stay like myself.

We recently had our wedding at Down Hall Hotel and Spa (October 6, 2024), and I cannot express enough how incredible the experience was from start to finish. From our very first viewing to signing the contract, and throughout all the planning stages, Tracy and the entire team truly looked after us every step of the way. I checked in the day before my wedding, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel so special and cared for during what can be quite a nerve-wracking time. The attention to detail, warmth, and care from everyone at Down Hall made all the difference. On the big day, everything was absolutely perfect. The venue was stunning, the team was on hand to ensure everything went smoothly, and we couldn’t have asked for a better day. Down Hall made our wedding day magical, and we are so grateful to Tracy and the team for making it such a seamless and memorable experience. So ein toller Ort, um zu heiraten. So hilfreich und lächerlich hart den ganzen Tag arbeiten. Annette ging ganzen Tag und Nacht, um den Tag reibungslos zu machen. Sie war eine fantastische Hilfe während des gesamten Prozesses, von der Suche um die Lage in der ersten Instanz, uns unseren Schlüssel in der wunderschönen Catherine von Aragon Suite um 1 Uhr (wenn wir die letzten Leute standen - keiner unserer Familie Check uns in!) Unser Toastmaster Steve (in das Paket) war ein Gott. Er organisierte alles am Tag und wir trafen ihn zuvor, was uns viel Frieden im Geiste gab. So viel Charakter im Samuel Pepsys Room und Henry VIII Suite. Die Gärten waren so schön und in Einklang mit dem, was wir wollten. Das Essen war nur perfekt groß, es gab soooo viel am Abendbuffet, wir hätten die Zahl der Gäste doppelt haben können. Marygreen hat unsere Wahl, einen Sänger unserer Wahl neben dem Paket DJ so gut zu haben. Paco in der Bar war müde, änderte oft Barrel und hält die Getränke die ganze Nacht fließend. Top Tipp: Wenn Sie einen Fotografen benötigen, verwenden Sie Alis Foto!

Haben Sie vor und werden wieder bleiben. Sehr schön, einige Zimmer können ein wenig date, aber es ist eine persönliche Vorliebe, wir mögen sie. Personal alle sehr freundlich, und das wirklich uns alle Mitarbeiter von oben bis unten, willkommen und hilfreich.

We recently held our wedding ceremony and reception at Ivy Hill Hotel and words cannot adequately express how wonderful it was! The grounds are stunning and a photographer’s dream! So many locations that provide the perfect backdrop. The interior rooms are tasteful and elegant and can be adapted to any number of guests. The Ivy Suite and Ingatestone Room had extra little decorative touches that we had not asked for but were welcome additions. The canapes and dinner were truly scrumptious and temptingly presented; everyone commented on how delicious it was. The staff at Ivy Hill, without exception, are faultless. They provided an excellent service from the time we booked until the day itself and should be congratulated. We would like to give special mention to Charlotte, our initial contact, with whom we shared many emails. She was efficient and extremely helpful, keeping us updated on all aspects of the planning process. Jeremy put himself out in many ways and is a credit to you. That brings us to Libby – what a star she is! She contributed a great deal towards making our wedding so happy and joyful but in an unobtrusive way. Every wedding needs a Libby! From the time we first met her Libby provided invaluable advice and suggestions and we felt safe knowing she would be looking after us. There were so many guiding and thoughtful moments that are too numerous to list. Thank you Libby. All in all, if you are considering a wedding venue, think no further than Ivy Hill.
