Wir blieben Mitte der Woche für 4 Nächte in einem Stadtblickzimmer. Das Zimmer war sauber und komfortabel und wir waren nicht durch irgendein Straßenlärm beunruhigt. Klimaanlage funktionierte gut. Rezeption war nützlich, wenn nötig. Das Frühstück war gut, besser als wir in einigen anderen Stadthotels hatten. Der Pool war wunderschön und wir hatten es für uns selbst am meisten Morgen vor dem Abflug von der Sehenswürdigkeit. Das Karavan-Café öffnete sich nicht, während wir dort waren wegen der Nachfrage. Der nächste Strand war wunderschön mit weicher goldener Sand und die Chiringitos öffneten sich spät in der Nacht. Das einzige, was man wissen muss, ist, dass Taxis teuer waren, zehn Euro, um die Meile in die Stadt zu machen. Wir stiegen am Tag über den Strand und nahmen Busse, um nachts rauszugehen, aber diese liefen recht früh. Wir nahmen einmal zurück und gingen nach Mitternacht zweimal zurück, es fühlte sich sicher. Ich habe hier gesehen, es war ein 20-minütiger Spaziergang, der optimistisch erscheint und mehr wie 30 war, zumindest es war auf dem Weg zurück von der Stadt, was bedeutet, es ist auf dem Berg in die Stadt. Alles in allem ein guter Aufenthalt, wenn Sie gehen mögen.

While this hotel has a good rate and some ok aspects to it (relatively clean room, convenient parking garage across the street), there are many issues with it otherwise. The receptionist wasn’t very friendly or helpful at the start… that didn’t bode well. I had to do a couple hours of work as soon as I got to my room and quickly realized that the WiFi signal didn’t reach my room - bear in mind I was only on the second floor of about six floors! So I couldn’t use the internet which, obviously, is pretty important for most work these days. I even tried to do some work with my computer just outside my room but the signal was poor even in the halls ways. And to make matters worse, the hallway smelled like cigarette smoke. Pretty sure this is a non-smoking hotel! So I decide to do my work in the lobby. I end up having dinner there and order a pasta dish. No joke, the top half of the pasta was warm and the bottom part was cold. Did they just throw it into a microwave? It was pretty disappointing. In terms of the room itself, it was spacious and the bed was comfortable enough but when I went to take a shower, not only would the water not drain properly - creating an ever-growing pool of water on the shower floor - but the temperature was all wonky. It went from slightly warm to searing hot… again, not ideal. I’m a pretty easy-going traveler and for this price, I shouldn’t really complain BUT this city did seem to have plenty of options in the price range so maybe it’s best to try another spot unless you have a good reason to want to stay in this particular location.

Was für ein toller Aufenthalt! Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer (135) zur Seitenstraße raus, mit eigenem Badezimmer. Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer sowie das gesamte Hotel sind tip top sauber. Die Zimmer sind hellhörig, aber das ist in südlichen Ländern ja meistens der Fall. Wir haben für alle Fälle immer Ohrenstöpsel dabei, die wir hier aber nicht brauchten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, dabei aber nicht aufdringlich und man fühlt sich sofort sehr gut aufgehoben. Jeder Mitarbeiter hilft sofort und unkompliziert :-) und die Tipps der netten Dame an der Rezeption, die auch sehr gutes Englisch spricht, zum Besuch der Stadt Tarragona sind sehr hilfreich. Die Rezeption ist 24 Stunden besetzt. In der Bar kann man abends noch einen Drink nehmen und auch am nächsten Morgen frühstücken. Es wird ein kontinentales Frühstück angeboten. Es gibt frisches Obst, Säfte, verschiedene spanische Gebäcke, Croissants und Weißbrot (auch getoastet), Käse, spanische Wurst, hartgekochte Eier, etc. Der leckere Kaffee/Cappuccino kommt frisch aus der Siebträgermaschine und wird freundlich serviert. Kostenlos parken kann man, wenn Plätze frei sind (vorhanden sind ca 20), im Innenhof. Reservieren kann man diese jedoch nicht. Alternativ gibt es rund ums Hotel aber auch kostenlose Parkmöglichkeit. Vielen Dank für die angenehme Zeit in ihrem Hotel! Bis nach Tarragona sind es mit dem Auto 10 Minuten. Wir laufen sehr gerne (auch längere Strecken), aber diese wäre uns nachts im Nachhinein dann doch zu weit. Es gibt aber wohl auch die Möglichkeit, mit dem Bus in die Stadt zu fahren. Wer in der Nähe ist, dem empfehlen wir hier auf jeden Fall einen Aufenthalt.

Wir haben hier 2 Nächte im Oktober 2019 als Grundlage für die Erforschung von Tarragona und der Umgebung geblieben. Dieser Ort ist in der Stil der 1960er Jahre eingerichtet und dekoriert, aber mit allen aktuellen Tagesausstattung. Es liegt etwa 5 Minuten Fahrt nördlich des Zentrums von Tarragona, 1 Block zurück von einem schönen Sandstrand mit einem Café/Bar. Das Hotel-Rezeption-Personal war super freundlich und hilfsbereit, und sprach ausgezeichnet Englisch. Der kostenlose Parkplatz ist ein großer Plus für alle, die mit dem Auto ankommen, obwohl Sie bitte beachten, dass der Parkplatz ein Niveau von der Lobby und es keinen Aufzug zum Parkplatz gibt, So müssen die Taschen einen Schritt oder andernfalls am Voreingang zum Lobby abgehauen werden. Die Empfangsperson hat unsere Taschen für uns aufgebracht - sehr geschätzt. Unser Zimmer war auf der 3. Stock und war Meerblick, mit einem schönen Balkon. Es gibt Eisenbahnstrecken, die das Hotel vom Strand trennen, aber es gibt einen Unterweg für den Strandzugang. Zuglärm war nicht störend und störte nicht in den Schlaf. Gutes Frühstück auch!

I stayed here for two weeks for a university program. As I was there for a while it's easiest to do a bulleted list of pros/cons: Pros: * Location: Directly on Plaça de la Font, so if you're someone who wants to be right next to restaurants, bars, clubs and shops this is for you; also close to the Cathedral, the old town and the Roman ruins (amphitheater, circus, forum); a short walk from Platja del Miracle, a clean, lifeguarded beach where I was always able to find good space no matter the day or time. * I had a double room at the back of the property, whose window faced onto another flat but with a small terrace between us. Thus it was quiet and got direct sunlight most of the day. The room had an AC unit that cooled the room quickly, and also had decent shelf and hanger space given the room size (small, but that's typical of European hotel rooms, especially in old buildings). * The room was cleaned every day—towels changed every day, sheets changed every few days. Post-COVID I've come to expect the opposite—that hotel rooms will only be cleaned once a week or upon request—so that was a pleasant surprise. The cleaning staff were also very friendly and helpful. Cons: * Automated check-in—by far the biggest con. The hostel didn't send our trip coordinator, who wasn't in-country, the access code to the front door, though it was supposed to have been sent 24h before. So I arrived, the first in my group to get there, not realizing this would be needed. Eventually after waiting outside for some time another guest happened to be going inside, and let me in. The machine was wonky at first but eventually worked, at least for me; other guests checking in at the same time as the later arrivals in my group, however, had worse luck, and I'm not sure if they were ever able to reach a Forum rep to access their rooms. * No on-site staff, poorly-manned hostel phone line—we had a situation in our group later that week where a group member forgot their key in their room on their way to dinner, and ended up having to sleep in the small lobby area overnight as nobody from the Forum number provided was picking up the phone. The pin number the automated machine was requesting in order to issue a new key had never been sent to our group coordinator either, hence why the group member was never able to get a new key issued from the machine. * Other people in my university group had single rooms in the center of the property. Thus they did not ever have direct sunlight; their rooms either faced a wall or a disused lift shaft at the center of the property. This is just something for people to be aware of when they're making the bookings; the room photos on the site are not representative of most of the rooms of the property. * Accessibility: there is no lift/elevator, and it is a four-story property with steep flights of stairs between floors.
