Only 2-3 front desk staff were respectful, smiling and courteous. The rest were either rude or arrogant, and didn’t seem to enjoy giving a good customer experience. Indoor parking is extremely expensive, but they don’t tell you that the outside parking is permitted for free (they have signs of towing but they do not seem to enforce it as cars are parked there all the time - so if you find a spot, park for free instead of paying 26$+ per day). Room cleaning is requested and not completed automatically. Amenities seem well-balanced. Good enough sized gym and pool is very good and clean. Room furniture is old and building itself is old. Not entirely sure the owners want to renovate anytime soon, but it definitely needs a refresher. Insulation in rooms is awful - lots of noise from outside. I have been in other hotels in capitals and downtowns, and never have I had an issue with outside noise. Halifax is quite the vibrant city so keep that in mind if you wish to stay at this hotel.

Finally Halifax has an outstanding hotel which stands up to all the rest. After reading the reviews of Muir Hotel I was excited to give it a try on a recent business trip. It did not disappoint, and in my opinion is a destination in itself. The people working there are smart and kind, the accommodations comfortable and welcoming, and the location first rate. I also enjoyed the fitness facility and restaurant, five stars to all. It is more expensive than the local competition, and worth every penny.

Das Hotel ist sehr gut gelegen und bietet einen guten Ausgangspunkt für alle Aktivitäten in und rund um Halifax. Wir hatten unsere Zimmer im 17. Stock mit einem tollen Ausblick auf die Stadt und den Hafen. Die Zimmer sind schön eingerichtet und sehr sauber!

Ich schreibe diese Bewertung um ca. 11:30 Uhr am Freitag Abend, während ich im Hotel verbleib. Der Grund, warum ich diese Bewertung schreiben, ist, dass es unmöglich zu schlafen. Während ich frühere Bewertungen auf Lärmniveau gelesen habe, dachte ich nie, es könnte so schlecht sein. Es ist schlimmer, als ich es mir vorstellen konnte. Es hat Salsa-Musik gespielt in den letzten Stunden, die ich vermute, wird bis 3:00 Uhr dauern. Dies ist meine vierte Nacht hier und es gibt Musik, die draußen jede Nacht spielen. Ehrlich gesagt, für den Preis, den wir bezahlen, und aus den letzten Bewertungen, wie kann das Management darüber nichts tun. Bitte beweisen Sie Ihre Fenster. Ich habe in vielen Hotels im Zentrum geblieben und habe nie Geräusche auf diesem Niveau erlebt. Lesen Sie bitte diese Bewertungen und tun Sie etwas darüber, oder Sie werden die Gäste verlieren. Ich weiß sicher, dass meine Familie und ich nicht zurück sein werden, bis das gelöst ist. Das Hotel ist sauber, zentral gelegen, freundliches Personal, Waschraum. Negatives- laut!!! Parkplatz, ($25+ Steuer pro Tag ist etwas übertrieben). Frühstück kann besser sein- gleiche Artikel jeden Tag; auch zu klein, um jeder zu bewohnen essen. Das Frühstückspersonal war jedoch bemerkenswert. ausgezeichneter Service und sehr freundlich. Der Fitnessraum ist sehr grundlegende. Viele Handtücher, Trinkwasser zu warm. Ausziehen Sofamatratzen überhaupt nicht komfortabel. Es fühlt sich wie Sie auf den Frühlingen schlafen.

Jeder Aspekt war groß ... genossen die Modernität in diesem alten Stil Hotel. Sauber, ruhig, schönes Zimmer, schöne Betten ... Wünsche hätte mehr Zeit, um das Restaurant für Abendessen zu überprüfen. Das Frühstück war wirklich groß ... großes Orangensaftglas, perfekte Service an der Tischstelle ... Danke für einen,wunderbaren Aufenthalt.

This hotel was affordable, and it was about a ten (10) to fifteen (15) minute drive to get into Downtown Halifax. This hotel was also just under one (1) hour of a drive to arrive at Peggy’s Cove. Highway-102 and Highway-103 were very close by to this hotel. Many restaurants were located close by to this hotel. This hotel possessed a large parking lot. The staff members were friendly, helpful, and very diverse. There was free wifi at this hotel. There was a pool at this hotel, and I did some laps in it. This pool was a tad bit chilly, and much of the pool was very shallow. Unfortunately, the gym was closed due to some renovations. I was told that there was going to be no room service, but my room was actually serviced by the staff. My room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. My room had a desk, several chairs, a television, heat, and air-conditioning. The shower had plenty of hot water. I had some loud guests next to me during my initial night at this hotel, so I cranked up the air-conditioning to overcome their commotion. This hotel did allow guests to borrow movies and boardgames, but I did not view or use any of them. The breakfast had good juices, water, English muffins, toasts, bagels, waffles, pancakes, bananas, and apples. I would have preferred some breakfast pastries, as well, like muffins. Perhaps, this hotel should have a cold water machine in the lobby right where the machines for the coffee and the tea are located.
