Location: It's about as good as you get in Jindabyne. You're right across the street from the Nuggets Crossing Shopping Centre (with Woolworths and a variety of restaurants). The lake is pretty much right across the highway. Room: We had a split-level loft with a queen bed on the ground floor and a full bed and bunk bed on the loft level. More than enough for my family of 4. Our room was on the ground floor which was extremely helpful (I probably would not have been as happy if we were on the upper floor). Room had a full-kitchen with microwave, electric griddle, mini-fridge, slow cooker, hot pot, and dishware/cutlery. There was also complimentary coffee, milk, hot chocolate and biscuits. Be mindful that the room is also stocked with snacks and a mini-bar in the fridge. These are not free. The room was a bit dated, but that wasn't an issue at all. It was spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed - that's all that mattered. Amenities: there is an on-site restaurant/bar, but we didn't get to try it. There is a nice lobby area with a fireplace. Be sure to ask the reception for a 20% discount card to The Base Ski Rental about a half kilometer down the road if you plan on hiring any gear. Parking is free and plentiful. Overall, it was a great stay. It was a bit pricey, but considering we booked last minute during winter season, it was a great value relative to the other options in Jindabyne. And the room definitely had all we needed for a comfortable stay. Also, the woman at the reception was extremely nice and helpful.

We have been coming to Jindabyne for the past 7 years same time every year. I absolutely love the place and its handy location to the mountains and shops. The only negative i would give this park is every year we are on a lake view site near the boat ramp. These sites are premium sites, why do they put caravans on the unpowered sites blocking the view of people who pay premium dollar for these sites. The unpowered sites oposite the powered sites should be be for tents or small campers. Kirily and Freddy were great managers and the new managers will have big shoes to fill and i do wish them well. Feb 2024 was our last year at this time. Amenties are spotless and the park is kept extremely neat and tidy.

Brenda, Lee and their team provide a ‘home away from home’ welcoming. They’re full of kindness and nothing is too much to ask. The rooms are very clean and tidy. Linen and towels are fresh every day. There is shared showers - womens side and mens side - though we did not experience any delay in gaining access to such amenities. There’s a seperate ‘den style’ room where you can prepare your own food if necessary. It also has coffee etc facilities. The premises are just a short walk from hotels and restaurants and rates are exceptional in value and far less expensive than Perisher which is only 30 minutes travel by car.

We’ve been coming to the region for years, and the LJ used to be our go-to place for accommodation, meals or drinks - both winter and summer. But no more. Seats in the booths and out on the deck are in need of replacement, or at least a good clean; as are tables / benches in the bistro. And it is no good having a designated smoking area when patrons just smoke wherever they want to – staff must actively enforce regulations the licensee has to abide by. The deck is not a designated smoking area! We were back in Jindabyne and at the LJ for 5 nights in Dec 2023. Disappointingly, one evening we were not able to get a meal. Although menus given out at the bar and the bistro state the kitchen is open until 9pm, when we tried to order at 8.05pm, we were told the kitchen had closed at 8pm. And no, we saw no other signage detailing this. Our party of five were not the only ones disappointed by this inconsistency. I know there is currently lots of renovations at the LJ, but we won’t be back in the meantime.

Ich habe hier vorhin geblieben und es war ok. Dieses Mal war das Restaurant aus irgendeinem Grund geschlossen und das nächste Essen war 2 km entfernt. Personal hier konnte nicht weniger kümmern, was eine sehr schlechte Reflexion über das Management ist. Keine Hilfe bei der Bereitstellung von Transport, kein Shuttle-Bus, keine Taxis oder Uber So 14 von uns musste zu Fuß. Würde Rydges Horizons Jindabyne eine minus 5 wenn ich könnte. Sehr unterstandardisierte Erfahrung in diesem Hotel. Die Zimmer sind alt und müde, die Teppiche sind drahtbar. Verzweifelt eine vollständige Renovierung erforderlich.

Das Hotel liegt nur außerhalb der Stadt, aber nahe genug, um in die Stadt zu gehen. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet und komfortabel. Es ist genug Parkplätze verfügbar und einige Zimmer haben Seenblick. Wir haben kein Personal gesehen, da sie ohne Kontakt einchecken haben.

Vor ein paar Nächten, während auf einem Skiurlaub, wurde unsere Familie zu einer erstaunlichen gastronomischen Erfahrung von frischem lokalem Ozean Trott entbeint auf unserem Tisch und der höchste Angebotsbecher grillte auf der Steingrill (auch auf unserem Tisch) behandelt in dem Restaurant. Nicht nur war die Lebensmittel-Top-Klasse mit Blick auf den Jindabyne See, sondern der Maitre d war bubbelhaft und aufmerksam und der Koch dauerte Zeit, um zu kommen und mit uns über unser Essen zu chatten. Wird sicherlich wiederkommen!
