Premier Inn Christchurch (East)

Came for one night with the wife for a little break away, I have to say the Standard of this particular Premier Inn has really gone downhill. The surrounding grounds are really in a unkept state with long uncut grass , hedges looking a mess with all the leaves left, the adjacent Beefeater did a nice self service breakfast with plenty of variety, the tables were very sticky and the gents toilet wasn't good, outside there was slate over the path , cigarette ends and weeds, back to our stay , the whole place has become tired , definitely not the standard I remember, desperately needs renovation, lack of staff, our room was ridiculously hot even with the two fans in our room one didn't seem to blow forwards, the bathroom floor was all rippled and damaged and rust spots on the bathroom ceiling, thick dust on top of the wardrobe, I will not be staying here again after many visits which is a real shame because the location is perfect for us. Very much what you’d expect from a premier inn, good nights sleep, comfy beds and friendly staff. Very clean throughout and so quiet, I had the best nights sleep in ages. Filled up on the breakfast the next morning which was plentiful and fresh. Will definitely return soon.

Took the girlfriend for a weekend away to escape by the sea and was not disappointed. Lovely place to walk and explore, close to mudeford quay, Christchurch town and the new forest. No issues with our room, clean and comfy. Nice touch having extra pillows available. Being next door to a beefeater is a bonus too, great steaks and cocktails.

Not welcoming noone around and when did find anyone they didn't speak or smile. Everyone that worked there seamed miserable. First room smelt of mold and could see it on walls, vent was not working in bathroom and water running down walks after shower! got moved next day (as couldn't find anyone that evening) room was better but not brilliant. Restaurant was lacking in customer service too breakfast not great but eatable. Had dinner first evening bur didn't go back ! Very expensive for just a microwave pie and 6 chips ! Yes I counted them and peas £15,00 !!

This hotel is so tired and shabby. Well past it's sell by date. I had been working all day and arrived late, grabbed a meal and back at the room, and realised how knackered it was. Water had leaked through ceiling, paint worn out, mould around bath ! Mould around ceiling, shower rail totally rusty top to bottom, shower curtain dirty, paint around bathroom appalling, generally very poor state. I didn't complain as I didn't want to spend more time moving to another worn out room However, I did complain to head office to be told nothing they could do as I declined the offer of another room. These big companies don't listen or read, I didn't ask to change rooms but was making them aware just how knackered the place is ! I have stayed in Premier inn rooms for work 3-4 days a week since 2013 however they charge premium rates now for worn out shabby rooms. Have to say one of their competitors has really moved up market and quality rooms more affordable. I would give this one a miss. Many reviews now say the same thing

Starting with the positives, lovely welcome from the team member on reception. Very comfortable bed, quiet room. But.... this hotel is so tired and sadly shabby. The room had a slightly musy smell, bathroom needs decorating, basin tap sprayed water, So steamy that towels never got dry. Quality of hot breakfast very disappointing,congealed egg, overcooked hash brown, nothing really hot. Generally a disappointing experience
