No air-conditioned, No housekeeping

Came for one night with the wife for a little break away, I have to say the Standard of this particular Premier Inn has really gone downhill. The surrounding grounds are really in a unkept state with long uncut grass , hedges looking a mess with all the leaves left, the adjacent Beefeater did a nice self service breakfast with plenty of variety, the tables were very sticky and the gents toilet wasn't good, outside there was slate over the path , cigarette ends and weeds, back to our stay , the whole place has become tired , definitely not the standard I remember, desperately needs renovation, lack of staff, our room was ridiculously hot even with the two fans in our room one didn't seem to blow forwards, the bathroom floor was all rippled and damaged and rust spots on the bathroom ceiling, thick dust on top of the wardrobe, I will not be staying here again after many visits which is a real shame because the location is perfect for us. Nobody at reception when I arrived. When I called for reception on the bell and Caz arrived it was like I had done her a disservice by asking her to do her job and check me in to her room. Her attitude was sarcastic when I asked her questions about the Wi-Fi I have used premier in several times for work and this was by far the worst experience I have had when checking in Caz needs training in cusomter service or to find a job she is actually happy doing

The room was tired, the heater beeps on and off which disturbs sleep. The tap constantly drips which is distracting. Food was cheap but not that cheerful. Paid for a WIFI voucher code which never arrived and the ‘support’ offered is utterly useless. Despite sending them the receipt of purchase as requested by the ‘support’ no code and no refund. Really poor. Avoid.

We both went here for 2 nights over Christmas. Have been before but not for Christmas. Our check in was great. The receptionist was lovely. We asked for ground floor in the annexe as they have no lift here and was given what we requested. It's such a quiet hotel. Clean and comfy. We had booked Christmas day lunch in advance at the adjoining Beefeater. That was great also. Will come here again when in the area.

We recently stayed at this Premier Inn and were appalled by the state of the bathroom. The toilet was absolutely filthy, with visible stains and it was clear it had not been cleaned properly or sanitised. I reported this to the front desk, expressing my concerns about hygiene. The receptionist appeared to be the only staff member on duty and she offered to clean it. However, she was also simultaneously attempting to put up Christmas decorations. Feeling uncomfortable with the situation, I reluctantly accepted cleaning products and proceeded to clean the toilet myself – a task I should not have had to undertake as a paying guest. To my further disappointment, I have not received any apology from the hotel management and after contacting their customer service department almost three weeks ago, I have yet to receive any acknowledgment or response to my complaint. This experience has left me extremely disappointed with the Premier Inn group. Their disregard for guest hygiene and their failure to address my serious concerns are unacceptable.
