John Henry Bed & Breakfast

The John Henry is the nest B&B I have stayed. The location between Howe Caverns and Cooperstown is perfect. The quaint town of Cherry Valley is only a 5 minute walk to restaurants, galleries, and a market. The innkeeper Colleen is the best host. All our needs were met throughout our stay. The room, as well as the common areas are beautifully decorated, comfortable, and spotless. Breakfast was prepared to our diets and preferences with frittatas and baked goods, each day was better then the last. We throughly enjoyed the accommodations, Food and wonderful conversations each morning. WE felt like old friends .Looking forward to a return visit.

The John Henry B&B is a beautiful, peaceful, elegant place to stay in the exquisite area of Cherry Valley, NY. The owner is a kind owner who tailors each guest's experience. The food was top-notch (the owner is a professional chef) and will accommodate your food allergies. I would stay here again!

This was a recent repeat visit for us and we were so happy to be back. The B & B is lovely, clean and quiet. The Innkeepers, Colleen and her husband, Richard, are very pleasant and enjoyable to talk to. You quickly feel like old friends. They go out of their way to make you feel at home. The B & B is tastefully appointed and feels like home, especially as this was a repeat visit for us. There is a nice seating area with a television and the dining room has a small well stocked refrigerator of water and soft drinks and, fresh baked goods are available for snacking, including granola bars. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. Colleen, who also is a personal chef and caterer, makes delicious baked goods, such as a peach cobbler that is outrageous, as well as muffins and cakes. The first time we were there, she baked a delicious lemon cake. It was so good, we still remember it! Our breakfast was a vegetable quiche that was excellent, with little roasted potatoes and a homemade sausage, from a local butcher. Additionally, there was yogurt with fresh fruit and three types of homemade granola, my favorite was the mocha. This place was a great find last year and so much so, that we returned again this year. We will be back again next year!
