Great place to stay while vacationing and taking in the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

This was a very nice and clean hotel. It had very comfortable bed and pillows. It had everything that we needed. It was nice and quiet. I wish I had booked the room for a few more of our days. I cannot say anything bad about this place. They had a good breakfast as well! One of the best breakfast is, we had on our trip! I wish we had more time there to visit the area. The hurricane made our plans different.

The view is not as advertised anymore. Everything has grown up so much and the river diverted, that there is almost no water flowing behind the rooms anymore! The mattresses were recently replaced with the cheap line from Serta. What they used to have was one of the most comfortable mattresses I had ever slept on. The sheets are for a thicker mattress and will not stay on the bed corners. The comforter had a spot of blood on it that I found by remaking the short-sheeted bed, which tells me that they do not wash these comforters very often! Yuck. The A/C was failing and would short cycle and not cool after our 2nd night. The room was fairly clean, but the horizontal surfaces were not! The top of the one piece tub/shower unit was not cleaned in a while! Being 6’3” I could see ALL the dirt. And yes, they will put a $100.00 hold on your card for incidentals, which you find out about when you get there! This was a cheaper water view option for us that now is off my radar.

The front desk and housekeeping were the worst I have ever experienced in all of my travels. We had called the hotel 2 times the day of our arrival to let them know that we would be a late night arrival and not to let our room go. When we arrived the front desk clerk that checked us in, was rude and not friendly at all. Evidently, he was to give us a placard to place on the door to let housekeeping know we wanted our room cleaned. (First for us to have this type of request of a guest.) He did not. After returning from our outing the second night it was a surprise not to have our room cleaned and fresh towels. Okay, maybe we were overlooked the first time. I went to front desk. Same person who us in was there. He assured me that he would tell housekeeping and gave me fresh towels. He had that opportunity to give us the placard for housekeeping. He did not. Then again, third night returning from an outing, room was not cleaned again. Not happy. Went to the front desk again, taking all the dirty towels for exchange of clean. After explaining again that our room had not been serviced again, OR since arriving, I am told that the other clerk should have given us a placard for cleaning room. I asked for a discount on our room for the poor service. I was told she would put a note in and the manager would have to take care of that. Next morning at check out the manager says she cannot give a discount because we prepaid. You would think that if we prepaid we would have gotten a better room and better treatment. Nope not the case. I chose this hotel because of the cleanliness rating. In addition their breakfast was subpar as well. Same thing served everyday; flat round precooked eggs, sausage, waffles.

I would like to warn people from European countries about this hotel . All our credit cards were blocked by their creditcart machine ! The other Begians we met on our last day also had their creditcarts blocked and according to our banking institution this was because of their creditcart machine !

The rooms are very small, and in my opinion, they advertise "River View" balcony rooms, but ours was more like a creek view! I was thoroughly disappointed!🫤 Also you had to drive up to get breakfast in their hotel, ir walk up a bunch of stairs! The breakfast food was terrible, a d not many options were available! I was expecting alot more based on their advertising! I would definitely not recommend staying there!🥺🥺🥺🥺

When we walked into reception we are hit with an overwhelming smell of carpet freshener. The room was the same way, it didn’t do our sinuses any favor. Just clean or rip out the carpet and update the place. I cranked the AC to try and mitigate the smell, then the front of the AC unit fell off. Tried to put back on, fell off again in the middle of the night. Beds we’re comfortable, but the burgundy topper was stained and was immediately thrown to the floor. Bathrooms are very small but at least had an exhaust. The young lady who checked us in was the best part of our stay. When visiting Maggie Valley I will continue to look for a better place to stay.

This is one of the those "you get what you pay for" hotels. The front desk was friendly and the rooms OK. The bathroom was not very clean, especially the toilet area. Breakfast was not very good, the only item that was hot was if you made a waffle. It was really a continental breakfast so that should be how it is advertised.

Was very impressed with this hotel . This has been one of the best quality inn I have stay in. The ducks and geese were cool to feed. Definitely will be staying again the future. Just be wary of the 100 deposit on your credit card for possible damages. But does get refund after checking out
