This motel is a must-stay if you are planning to be in the area. The rooms are absolutely beautiful each with its own unique room theme that combines tastefully decorated retro vibe with a very modern bathroom. They invite you to play records that are left in room for you to enjoy and travel back to your childhood using a viewfinder. Their attention to detail is unreal. The bed was super comfortable with luxury bedding. We were more than pleasantly surprised and will be sure to visit again

Fantastic short stay here. We had a brief overnight stay here but wish we had more time. Our flight arrived late so we easily used the virtual key service to access our room. Great communication by their staff; friendly, helpful and quick to respond. The room itself had a fantastic vibe. Funky, fun, comfortable and great attention to detail. We would love to come back again and eat at the restaurant next time. The only wish I had is that our room gave a little bit more detail on the decor or how to use certain items. We accidentally turned on the projector at 2 am which played music and I didn’t even realize what I’d hit! No biggie but I felt bad for being noisy for our neighbors at that moment.

This motel is absolutely charming! It may not look like much from the outside but be prepared!! The beds were amazing,the decor eclectic,the location great and the hosts lovely! We stayed in the apartments and they were fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. If you are looking for an experience and not just a bed….this is for you❤️

The Oiseau Bleu is a great restaurant for apres-ski or apres-hike. The cookies are addictive. The coffee is excellent. The potato croquettes are actually savoury churros. They have added frozen take-out dinners.

My partner and I had a getaway weekend in the Que Sera Será suite and loved everything about it! Spacious, wonderfully designed with great attention to detail, we kept discovering many little delights. We brought groceries and cooked brunch twice in the kitchen and it had everything we needed except napkins. We were there in winter and found the floors cold so would recommend to bring slippers.

We stopped at this unique motel while visiting friends and family in the area. Having grown up in the Ottawa area, I have many happy memories driving past what was the Tulip Valley on our way to Gatineau hills and Lac Phillipe. This landmark has been reinvented into such a special place. So happy we stayed. Can’t recommend the Chelsea Motel enough. From the unique decor to the hospitality, we were made to feel welcome by both staff in the motel and the wider Chelsea/Wakefield area. Really enjoyed our evening meal in the Oiseau Blue. The food alone in the restaurant was worth our trip over the atlantic 😁 Also, the goodies from the motel shop were irresistible …had to stock up to continue our travels. A must stop for anyone visiting the area. Will be making a return visit👍

A very unique place to stay and all of it good! This totally reimagined old time motel was a fun place to visit on its own. Everything in the room (we stayed in one with twin beds) is top quality and spotless. Lots of interesting touches, like the record player with record collection to choose from…loved the wallpaper. Bathroom was high end renovated to the max and even the hairdryer was a Dyson. Unfortunately the restaurant was just opening so we missed that experience but the gourmet food for sale in the shop at reception was amazing. Unfortunately there was nowhere nearby to walk to but it then again it was a ‘Motel’ and Wakefield and Chelsea were short drive away.

The motel is beautiful. Organic bed linens, quirky decor, ultra modern bathroom, soooo comfortable bed, pillows, etc. - didn't want to leave! We were welcomed, given a tour of the motel and the apartments, then settled in with a drink at the bar. The salon was booked for evening entertainment and we got to see/hear Great Lake Swimmers play about 15 feet from our table! After the music ended many of us sat outside under the stars. The motel is easy to get to (close exit from Hwy 05). I'm now on their mailing list because they have a great line of singers coming. And ... they now have a more expanded food menu.

One walk into this place and you are transported!!! I did not want to leave! WE were greeted by the host and owner of the event warmly and graciously!! The stay was super cozy and each room is an artistic creation!! The ambiance was just delightful and I plan to go back with my husband on a future date.
