Relaxing, friendly accommodation. Clean, warm and quality bedding. Ideal that the room was across the courtyard, lovely setting. Food in the pub was exceptional, served by polite, friendly staff, nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was relaxed and tasty.

Refused to reserve a table outside for someone who was immuno compromised so we went elsewhere as not in a position to be seated indoors in a busy environment Checked with management but still a refusal. Told to just turn up and take our chances of getting a table.

Very disappointed with lack of customer service. Having used this lovely pub for 12 years to be told u had to put your name down for outside meals (which were bar food) at the convenience of the management - who couldn’t take a preorder due to numerous orders - so the customer had to return to the bar to order at a time to suit the management and then couldn’t be told when the order would be served at the time of ordering was pathetic. Having worked in hospitality for 30 years for a very well known national company customer service was paramount. Will not be revisiting nor recommending.

Winyards is a fantastic location views absolutely stunning! As a local have observed that they have increased their table capacity but unfortunately do not seem to be staffed to cope with the new set up. Now on two ocassions i have been more or less told they are not able to serve food or for at least an hour. The day I visited was not even a weekend in fact a Thursday and at 700 pm. Basically put signage up in the car park to indicate its drinks only, when you are travelling with disabled customers it’s really not ideal to get seated then only to be told not tonjght

Location is stunning with plenty of outside space. Made very welcome on arrival. Room in the annex was nicely appointed comfort and quiet. The food was excellent with a varied menu including specials. All staff professional and friendly. Only stayed one night but will be sure to return.

We only stayed one might but were so pleased with the whole experience we will go again and stay longer. The Owners are very local and only took over in January 2024. The staff are excellent and the food delicious. The room in the annex was well furnished with great taste and very comfortable. It will be a wonderful location in the summer having a huge lawn area with a magnificent view. Good value for money. Room charge only and breakfast extra but you pay for what you get. Full English at £12.50 was excellent and plentiful.

I spent a few hours in here finishing a book. I arrived about 11 and left mid afternoon. The pub had a warm and inviting atmosphere with a real fire, comfortable furniture, great views and welcoming staff. I had a burger with fries which was super tasty and filling plus a couple of drinks and two decaf coffees which were very good. The staff were attentive and efficient without being intrusive. I didn’t go into the restaurant area but it seemed well patronised. There is a great outdoor seating area with fantastic views over the surrounding countryside which would be great on a dry, sunny day. Highly recommended.

We had one of the studio rooms, which on first impressions looked good. We started to notice a few things...sink in the kitchen was dirty, and the kitchen bin was broken. The shower did not have any hot water, we did mention this the first night but still not working on 2nd night. Then on the 2nd morning we lost all water, meaning that no cups of tea, no flushing of loo and no shower or brushing of teeth. The food however, was amazing. Friendly service and top notch menu. Compliments to the chef. Would we stay again.....yes but under new management or when they get a good handy man.

Just what we needed, a quiet, relaxed three night break, exelent views, friendly staff, superb accommodation, out of this world food, our dog was firmly welconed from all staff and other customers, hopefully we can find the time to come back very soon once we have lost the weight we put on after eating so much of thier deliscious food
