Stayed here for 1 night to go to UVA hospital for appt- It's couple of stop lights away from the UVA Hospital complex- Had a nice stay -I would recommend this hotel to others. Issue encountered: One elevator was out so the working one was a little slow. Likes: Great customer service. David in reception was was welcoming and helpful. He was juggling multiple things at one time but displayed a calm and professional demeanor throughout my check-in. He let me know about the hospital guest rate & even followed up with a phone call to let me know that my rate had been adjusted as he had been busy earlier. Paula at check out was also friendly and professional and answered all of my questions. Every staff member I encountered smiled and offered greetings. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good. Room: Our queen suite had a kitchenette with a full fridge, microwave, dishwasher, and dishes/cookware. The vanity area is separate from the toilet/tub area.

One of the best hotels I have stayed in, in a long time. The room was off the charts - super clean, spacious and with lots of amenities. It felt more like an apartment than a hotel room. Absolutely loved it. The front desk staff were great and the breakfast hit the spot. Good solid location too. I recommend without exception.

Newly renovated hotel. Hampton Inns can be tricky because if you get an old property with a franchise owner who doesn't care, it can be absoluitely disgusting. Or, you can have good luck and stay at a property such as this one which was better than most full service Hilton properties! This Hampton Inn might have been the best Hampton Inn I've ever stayed at. It was clean, they honored my Diamond status with a late check out, the gym was phenomenal, the breakfast wasn't over crowded, check in was a breeze, and the location for UVA events was perfect. I was torn between staying here and the Graduate (also now a Hilton property), but after staying here I can say I made the right choice! Thanks again for a great stay!

This was my first stay on a business trip. The location was in walking distance to the historic downtown mall. There is a free shuttle if you prefer. The rooms have very nice clean down comforters & they change the sheets & comforter cover every day.You definitely get a good night sleep here, after a long work day. Then you wake to a free full buffet breakfast & Starbucks coffee. The lobby is nice & light & the front desk staff are very helpful, especially Trudy.I look forward to staying there again. It smells fresh & is one of the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in.

We were lucky enough to only have to stay in Cville on a Sunday night (Saturday night would've been quite pricey). Thanks to the low Sunday night rate, we opted for the 1 bedroom suite with fireplace.The room itself was excellent and we were impressed with the hotel overall. This is definitely one of the nicer Hampton Inns we've stayed in. The central lobby and breakfast area is tastefully decorated and has nice high ceilings. The location can't be beat as you're a very short walk to The Corner and only about 5-10 minutes from the Downtown Mall.

We stayed here for one night in a double queen fireplace suite which was up to par with Hampton quality with a few exceptions. The one bed by the window is pushed right up to the air conditioner so it is impossible for the one sleeping by the window to get in or out of the bed on their side. While the chair in living room area was comfortable, the sofa lacked in comfort and should be replaced. This was one of the first Hamptons that we have stayed at that didn't have a pool at all. Shower pressure was ok but didn't get as hot as would have like. Overall satisfied with our stay as the suite was very clean and cozy. Breakfast had variety and tasty. Staff was helpful when asked.

We only stayed there for one night but we thought it was a great place. Location-wise, it is between downtown and the University of Virginia campus. The Amtrak station is literally a few yards away. The rooms are spacious and clean. There was construction going on in a site nearby so if you want to be in a quiet room you may wanna request a room on the west side of the building (away from the construction). Finally, I should mention that breakfast was excellent, like it's always the case in any Hampton Inn I've been too. I would happily stay here again.

Had terrible customer service experience. Night manager had no interest in making up for the poor customer experience. General manager was contacted several times but she does not involve herself with customer issues. Was forced to contact Hilton customer assistance on 3 separate occasions to get resolution. I wrote an email to corporate and explained everything and they refunded me my stay.
