Premier Inn Thurrock East Hotel

Lucy who I meet when I first arrived was on reception what a lovely outgoing bubbly person, she was so helpful with information I was asking about as I traveled down from Glasgow Scotland. definitely would come back as she was very welcoming the hotel is in a great location and the price is reasonable

Comfy beds, clean rooms and nice staff. Rooms had everything we needed and wifi was great. Close to Lakeside and train station.Brewers fare wasnt open so couldnt have the meal there that we had planned. Only other issue was that the hallway and stairwell stunk of **** which was horrible.

What a horrible place to stay, when the receptionist eventually bothered to turn up , having previously tried charging us £10 to check in 10 minutes early, she was then rude and unhelpful, the self check in machines didn't work, there was no one working in the bar to get a drink. It's a ghost hotel.

Brewers Fayre next door been closed for a week, so directed to Rainham Premiere for the Meal Deal a 9 min drive away (or £18 each way in a taxi) (or Sainsbury's a walk away but no cafe so just a sandwich!!).Sadly the Hotel's level of Customer Service was abysmal - the place has been closed for a week already but their 'We're looking forward to seeing you' E Mails never mentioned it, so only found out on Check In. The Manager on site had no empathy at all, and just said she has reported complaints already & couldn't be bothered to send in anymore. However HO Customer services listened but couldn't help transfer us to another Hotel as all booked, however they spoke to the Hotel team as they hadn't been informed and wanted to make a note on the booking website. The Rooms & Parking are all Premiere standard & comfortable, and the food at Table Table at Rainham and use of the Meal Deal was v good.

No lifts for rooms on the first floor so it won't be ideal for anyone with disabilities and/or carrying a lot of heavy luggage. Room wasn't clean with lots of cobwebs and dried up vomit stains near the bottom of the bed at the head. There is also no fridge. The remote control for the TV was dirty and the TV pictures were not of HD quality.

We arrived late at night after a very long journey to be told the attached restaurant/pub was closed for works for an unknown period of time. No dinner, no breakfast, no bar. No other options in the vicinity. If we had been warned about this in advance we could have planned accordingly. We were not. Rubbish service. The 7 pound/ 24 hour parking charge is also an insult. There are many many premier inns in this area. Might be worth going to one of those instead!
