Magnuson Cedar City

Was not able to even stay at this property, this man was unwilling to split payments for my deposit and since I had just wasted money at another hotel that told me I didn’t have a reservation and told me to contact support so I had money wrapped up there and was having a hard time getting the full deposit amount in one place, so I ended up spending nearly $200 on motel rooms that I didn’t stay in and also have not been able to get my money back.

Located close to restaurants and baseball fields and the staff was friendly. When we checked into our first room it seemed that housekeeping had stopped part way through cleaning but they were prompt to get us into another room. It was surprisingly clean inside for the state of the outside but we really just needed a place to sleep. Pillows were nice and so was the bedding.

Great experience. Room clean & comfortable; staff attentive; reasonably priced. Breakfast was good and included in the price. Spent 2 days. Hotel located on Main Street; well situated for excursions in & about town, either by foot or car. I'll be back :)

Bathroom was dirty, one of the towels was visibly dirty... Made me question the cleanliness of the rest of the room. Got one of the rooms that hadn't been updated. Sheets we really wrinkly on both beds. Breakfast was pretty thin and not a very good selection. Security deposit was never refunded, called two weeks after the stay and was told it didn't go through, they were kind and said they would call their bank. I waited another week, still nothing on my end, so I called the hotel again, was told it went through on their end. My bank never got the refund. It has been about a month now. Tired of the back and forth for this. Never have I had such trouble getting a deposit back. The room was not worth the hassle, and the overall price since they basically charged double with security deposit. There are many other options in this town. I will definitely be using them in the future.

My husband and I had a very comfortable stay at the Magnusen Hotel in Cedar City, Utah during our visit to Zion National Park on Memorial Day weekend recently. The owners, Mr. Mehta and his wife, were very pleasant hosts, and the rooms were quite spacious with an old-world charm and the necessary basics needed for our stay, including good wi-fi, microwave, television, refrigerator and enough lamps around the room. We had a good breakfast spread each day too– included with the room. We also had a late check-in for which we called ahead and were helped out completely – making it easy for us to check-in post mid-night! A special mention of their newly opened ‘Millet’s Café’ – we had some Indian dinner fare – the breads – made from scratch – were amazing – soft and authentic, along with a mildly spicy and tangy curry topped with coriander and onions, and another tasty potato dish to go with it. For dessert we tried their unique Guava Chilli ice-cream which had amazing texture and a nice fruity yet creamy flavor. I would highly recommend it to anyone passing Cedar City, and look forward to visiting again with friends!

Cheapest hotel I found when I hit town, but it was the nicest room I had on my trip! Well-appointed room with everything you need, and the shower was phenomenal. Comfy king bed with topper, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, desk, chairs with coffee table, and spotlessly clean.

Our stay was perfect right from when Tina greeted us at the door. What a sweetheart! She was so kind and efficient, chatting with us while we checked in. Tina put us in a beautiful, comfortable room, and made check out the next day incredibly easy. We were on day 12 of a massive road trip when we checked in and agreed this was the best bed so far for an incredibly fair price too! The room was well renovated with modern bathroom fixtures and a smart TV. We very much appreciated the convenient location to get back out on the highway. We very much recommend the Magnuson!

I accidently booked the room for 1 person instead of 3. At check-in, the manager wasn't going to let me stay. When I repriced it on priceline for 3 people, it was cheaper than what I had already paid. I showed the manager the quote and I thought we were good. Then when I got home there was a charge of $150.00 for the extra 2 people, plus they still haven't refunded my deposit of 100. Just after check-in my room conveniently lost power/tv/ac/internet until morning while all other rooms had power (manager flipped breaker). When I told the manager about the power outage, he said that the maintenace guy would be back in the morning. I guess the manager didn't want to flip the breaker back on for me.

Nicely remodeled room with lots of amenities fridge, microwave large tv. Regular size bathroom with amenities and nice bed. Family owned very nice and clean and reasonable prices. I would recommend for shorter trips of 3-4 days. Walk to downtown
