Holiday Inn Express Casper-I-25

We had a long day moving in town and needed a place to stay the night. We logged into our IHG Holiday Inn app and made a reservation at this hotel. The reservation was accepted so we arrived at the hotel exhausted, unloaded went into the lobby and the receptionist told us she cancelled it because we were “locals”. She offered no apology or other reason than they don’t take locals ( at 10:45 at night when they have open rooms). Great to know now that you hate your local community. We have been loyal to the Holiday brand for decades, checking your establishments first. Thank you for changing our minds. Thank goodness for the C’mon Inn and their great service. We will be sure to let our friends and business acquaintances know that Holiday Inn is happy to get the benefit of being located here in Casper but can’t be bothered to serve the community.

Terrible hotel, housekeepers stole items from my room and I was only provided points as consolation (not even enough for a free night), which is a pretty hollow gesture since I'll never be staying at an IHG hotel again after this experience.

We flew into Casper, WY to start our vacation and stayed at the Holiday Express. You can never go wrong with the HI Express as they greet you with warm soft cookies and 24 hour excess to hot tea and coffee. The only disappointment was that the indoor pool and hot tub were closed. I did not see that listed when we made the reservation and there appeared to be no compensation on the price of the room for the closed amenities. My wife and I sat in the cafe late in the evening, to map out our routes to the national parks. The front desk person was nice enough to turn on the lights so that we could better see. Unfortunately we had to leave around 5am for our adventures, and were unable to take advantage of the breakfast bar. However the cafe person was there and offered us things like fruit, yogurt, cereal and muffins. Now that is great service. Other than missing out on the hot tub, after a long flight, the rooms were clean, comfortable and the service was friendly and great.

The facility is older and carpet a little warn. The thing that got me though was the value. Over $230 is twice the price. I thought that price it would a new property. Also breakfast not good. I’m beginning to wonder about Priceline’s review process.

Room rates were great, rooms were clean and comfortable, the check in process was simple and easy and the desk agent Amber was very kind and informative. Will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and relatives when they are traveling in the area. Theres even a good restaurant across the street called Sandfords that we ate at. An overall good experience in Casper! Love IHG

Stayed on a Saturday one night. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and pillows soft, shower pressure was nice. Nice pool area, great breakfast selection, plenty of parking, and close to I-25. Overall, I am pleased with this stay.

Breakfast was a level above standard. Oatmeal, omelettes, pancakes, bacon, multiple juices and cereals. Rooms and hotel overall clean and modern. Comfortable bed with multiple pillows. Nice pool. Parking easy. Front desk flexible and nice.

Pluses. Very friendly greeting and I felt appreciated as a Hilton Honor member. I also liked the pet friendly accommodations Easy parking close but not too close to freeway. Minuses. Breakfast offerings were pretty meager. Our room was as across hall from service room and staff woke us up at 5:30 with loud talking really shouting. When we asked them to consider the time they responded “what , you can hear us?”

We picked this hotel due to it's proximity to restaurants etc being in walking distance. It is more expensive then other nicer hotels in the area. The room was clean and the hotel was quiet. The outlet in the bathroom would not hold the plugs - they kept falling out. I mentioned it to the front desk when we checked out and the answer was "okay". Not a "thank you for letting us know" - not a" I'm sorry" - nothing. Unfortunately, I needed to spend more time in the hotel room than I liked and it's a good thing I had my iPad because the TV stations they have are terrible. They have a few local stations which are not listed on the guide so you have to keep checking them to see what is on, but not even basic cable like ION, Discovery, USA or Food network. The exercise room leaves a lot to be desired. The machines face a mirror and behind you is the pool so the people in the pool can watch you from behind and you can stare at them in the mirror. The TV is offset in a corner so if you are on the other end of the room you can't even see it without keeping your head turned sideways. The machines are not very good - the upright bike was not fluid and the resistance was minimal with each level so it didn't even feel like it was changing unless you went up 5 or more levels. They also charge you an extra $30/night when you check in and then when you leave they credit it back and rebill the correct amount????? There isn't room service or any incidentals so it makes no sense to do this. Other hotels are not doing this. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.
