Extraordinary stay. Particular highlight is the friendliness of the staff and their attentive manner. Kate in the spa deserves special mention for going above and beyond to fit us in. The spa itself was beautiful, spotlessly clean and the treatments delivered with great care and skill. We ate breakfasts daily and had one dinner in the restaurant. The dining experience was first rate, significantly better than decent hotel fare. Wholehearted recommendation and thanks to the team.

Das Hotel liegt weit außerhalb des Stadtzentrums von Cork. Großzügiges Grundstück. Als wir den Eingang denn endlich mal gefunden hatten, mussten wir durch das halbe Hotel, um an die Rezeption zu kommen. Alles etwas undurchsichtig und verworren. Wir bekamen ein Zimmer im Erdgeschoss. Das Zimmer war für ein paar Nächte ok, es dürfte aber mal dringend renoviert werden. Der Teppichboden war doch schon sehr abgewohnt und auch die Möbel hatten schon einige Jahre hinter sich. Da wir abends anreisten und keine Lust mehr hatten, eine halbe Stunde bis in die Stadt zu fahren, haben wir im Hotel zu Abend gegessen. Die Speisekarte war nicht sehr groß, der Burger, den ich gegessen hatte, war ok. Preise für das Abendessen eher hoch. Die Bedienung sehr unfreundlich. Wir wurden zuerst mitten in den Flur gesetzt, obwohl noch genügend Plätze vorhanden waren. Dort herrschte ständig Durchzug. Wir baten um einen anderen Tisch. Diesen haben wir mit einer hochgezogenen Augenbraue auch bekommen. Danach hat man uns dann ignoriert. Bis wir bestellen konnten, das dauerte. Insgesamt eher ein mittelmäßiges Hotel weit entfernt von der Innenstadt mit teilweise unfreundlichen Mitarbeitern.

Hotel ist sehr gut vom Flugplatz aus erreichbar. Die Stadt Cork ist sehr gut mit dem Bus bzw. PKW erreichbar. Haben das Hotel für einen Startpunkt um Sehenswürdigkeiten im Süden von Irland zu nehmen, da es sehr gut an die Straßenverbindungen liegt. Wir würden jederzeit dieses Hotel wieder nehmen.

I am in love with their bed!! It’s the best I’ve ever slept on. So in love, I had to investigate to find out who makes their bed: it’s by the natural sleep company. I slept deliciously and I will now get a bed like that for my home.
The employees were quite kind and helpful too.
Clearly, from the bed alone, they invest in quality. It’s a gorgeous building and exquisitely maintained with a magnificent old world charm. I hope this gem lasts for ages and doesn’t succumb to the boring, overly modern, cookie cutter trope a lot of hotels have fallen into.
I will return for sure.

Ich bleibe in diesem Hotel alle 2 Wochen im Geschäftsbereich.. Die Kosten wachsen und muss vielleicht auf anderer Seite bleiben, wenn es weiter geht.. Ich bekomme in der Geschäftsklasse, die groß ist mit Wasser und Schokolade geliefert. Leider auf meiner Reise letzte Woche habe ich meine Punkte nicht erhalten.. Ich habe mich entschieden, in Radisson zu bleiben, um meine Punkte zu wachsen, so dass ich meine Familie auf einer Getaway bringen kann..

Ich hatte ein Zimmer mit einem Fenster, das dem Innenhof gegenüber steht, das bedeutete, kein Fenster mit Tageslicht. Zu dem Preis, den ich gezahlt habe, würde ich erwarten, ein Zimmer mit einem Fenster mit Tageslicht.
Das Spa war nicht sauber und ich genossen es überhaupt nicht. Das Frühstück war auch nicht gut. Ich werde nicht wieder bei Clayton bleiben.
