Small single room. Clean and tidy. Bathroom and toilet is also very small. A sliding door for the toilet . Very close to city centre, high street and department store . Excellent location. Few minutes walk to bus terminal .

Lovely Georgian building which has converted well to a modern hotel. Large room (Room 3), well decorated with plenty of storage space for clothes and belongings. Extremely comfortable bed. Separate private bathroom half a dozen steps away on the same level, well organised and spacious. Large window so fresh air and masses of light. No one else on the same floor. Steps to room are not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Hotel very near the main high street but away from the bustle at night. so is quiet. Charming French host who was patient and helpful. Perfect for solo traveller. I would definitely stay here again.

I reckon it was the cleanest hotel I had ever stayed in. We had a room no 6 with large, very comfortable bed, kettle, tea and coffee and lovely big bathroom. There's a parking in front of the building so we had no trouble with the car. The owner kindly phoned and gave us instructions how to check in in case he wasn't there when we arrived. So our check in and out went absolutely without any problem. The location is fantastic, few minutes walk to main attractions, river trips, shops and places to eat. I highly recommend The Coach House.

Booked two nights stay- turned up to find no staff at the B&B- even though according to the note on the door, there should have been someone there for another hour. I phoned both the standard number and the emergency numbers on the door and got no response. After half an hour sat outside the place I eventually got an answer from someone claiming to be the owner. He offered to give me the key code to get in. While we were waiting several goth ****** looking kids came and went from the property. Not happy that it was safe or secure. Owner not bothered and not prepared to come to the accommodation. Not very professional attitude or set up. Would not recommend.

I came there around 45 minutes earlier than expected, but they welcomed me. My room was their single room(number 5), a small but cosy room with a quirky layout regarding the bathroom, but that’s not a big thing. It’s a single, so you’re the only one. I slept very well, and there’s no way anyone can peek into you since the view is over the rooftop👍 There’s no breakfast included, but I could use their fridge to store my own breakfast. The owners are so nice and polite, and I can strongly recommend this place to everyone. It’s located in Central Canterbury, but not in the busiest area.

There are positives here, central location and pet friendly. Parking was appreciated as I kept my rollator in the car to use around Canterbury Unfortunately our dog had an unpset belly which my partner cleared up 3x and the room was aired every day. No-one visited the room throughout our 3 day stay. The owner declined to check it out with me on leaving. I have pictures showing the room left in a tidy state we just got charged £100 for cleaning 2/7 later. The toilet seat was broken causing us both to slip off. And really what was that foul duvet doing under the bed??,. I saw 1 other member of staff cleaning a room. I'm beyond disappointed. Ben I know you don't take criticism well but you treated us very unfairly..

Having never been to Canterbury before, we were amazed to find this place which is in the very centre of the city with its own parking spaces outside. We didn't eat there, I don't think they do breakfasts, but there is no need as you are about a minute or two's walk from places to eat. There are a lot of stairs but that was no problem to us. Our room was very well appointed and decorated. We had a private bathroom just outside the bedroom. I believe the building is Grade 2 listed. The only minus point was that it could have done with double glazing for sound insulation as it's so centrally situated. I would certainly recommend it. We had 2 nights here.

Excellent location, good value, clean!, and lovely owners. I thoroughly enjoyed my trip in Canterbury and Faversham. Coming back to the Coach House to rest was a pleasure. Ben, the owner, was kind and understanding over a misunderstanding. Highly recommended

Brilliant location, and parking is a bonus. The reason I say ok for one night is that it is tired and in need of a lick of paint and a deep clean. As you enter the hall the door to the left needs a thorough cleaning, this would bring it back to being a white door. Our room was ok, a lick of paint to freshen it up, the furniture is old but perfectly adequate. The base valance needs replacing, looked filthy but could just be stained as the bed covers/pillows were definitely clean. The bathroom needs a good clean, maybe re-grout the shower area, towels provided were fresh and smelled lovely. Therefore for one night only, this was ok.
