This accommodation was excellent. for us.It was situated in a tiny village with only one local pub, which was ideal for us. Cambridge is only 10miles away. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The Lodge was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. A nice touch was a plate of fairy cakes and a jar of cookies to welcome you. There was also a jug of milk in the fridge. The bed was sublime. Extremely soft and comfortable. I normally only manage 3-4 hours sleep daily, but on our two night stay i slept right through both nights. Breakfast was a full English delivered to our door, and it was delicious. I can't recommend this place and it's host highly enough. If I'm visiting the area again Thorn House will definitely be my first choice.

We stayed to start silver wedding anniversary celebration. We were going to a concert in Cambridge. The hotel nailed it. Beautiful, we were upgraded, and the room was stunning

Mir haben die Einrichtungen im Hotel und das Frühstück gefallen. Mir hat es nicht gefallen, fürs Parken zahlen zu müssen, und die Lage ist sehr schlecht. Sonntags fährt jede Stunde ein Zug oder alle 20-30 Minuten ein Bus ins Zentrum von Cambridge. Wenn man schon fürs Parken zahlen musste (und es ist ein Bahnhofsparkplatz, also nicht billig), muss man noch mehr zahlen, um nach Cambridge zu kommen. Ich bin enttäuscht, dass sie nichts haben, was es den Leuten ermöglicht, kostenlos zu parken, wenn sie im Hotel übernachten, da die Lage so schlecht ist und es so gut wie nichts um einen herum gibt. Ich war auch überrascht, dass die Hotelbar keine AMEX (oder Bargeld) akzeptierte.

Das nahezu neue Hotel konnte alle Erwartungen erfüllen. Groß , hell, freundlich. Das Personal sehr freundlich. Beschreibungen für Lokale oder take always sowie Verbindungen nach Cambridge Stadt liegen gedruckt vor. großartig. Das Frühstück gut. Es war alles für ein englisches Frühstück dabei.es gab Rührei, könnte mir aber auch vorstellen, dass es auf Anfrage Spiegelei gegeben hätte. Das Zimmer ausreichend groß , sauber und gut eingerichtet. Sogar mit einem Sessel zum relaxen. Das preis-/Leistungsverhältnis hervorragend (65€) Also: auf jeden Fall eine große Empfehlung, wenn man an Cambridge vorbeikommt und dort halt machen will.

Dieses Hotel ist sowohl für Touristen als auch für Geschäftsreisende in Cambridge sehr zu empfehlen. Es ist zwar klein, aber praktisch und sehr sauber. Es befindet sich direkt neben dem Bahnhof Cambridge, hat viele Restaurants im Erdgeschoss und mehrere Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Auch die Bushaltestelle ist nicht weit entfernt. Das Frühstück ist sehr reichhaltig und insgesamt ist alles top! Wenn ich das nächste Mal länger in Cambridge bleibe, werde ich definitiv wieder hier übernachten. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist wirklich gut.

The hotel was nice and clean feel £10 to park the car was a bit high, the staff was friendly but would not say the most helpful. did have a issue with another couple staying there they damaged my car by slamming there car door into mine I was sitting in the bar area and watched them do it the staff did nothing about this which is bad when they charge that for u to park ur car

Ein fantastisches Hotel in bester Lage – nur 40 Minuten zu Fuß durch den Park bis ins Zentrum von Cambridge. Die Umgebung ist aber auch wirklich toll – es gibt viele schöne Restaurants und Cafés, die wir sehr genossen haben. Das Hotel ist wunderschön gestaltet mit geschmackvoller Inneneinrichtung, und unser Zimmer war komfortabel, sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Einziges Manko: Wir würden uns über Gardinen für mehr Tageslicht und Privatsphäre freuen, außerdem über eine Nespresso-Maschine (oder ein ähnliches Gerät) anstelle eines Wasserkochers (Aparthotels haben diese normalerweise, wir waren überrascht, dass keiner da war) und über mehr Haken für nasse Handtücher im Badezimmer. Ansonsten war es ein großartiger Aufenthalt, den wir wärmstens empfehlen können.

I have stayed here many times and really enjoyed my stay but this time not so great there was a huge gap under the door letting in loads of light from the corridor so had to roll a towel up the block the gap. There is normally spare pillows but not this time we had 2 very flat pillows so did not get a good sleep at all

Single bed was small and not particularly comfortable, double bed was better, however there was mould on the bathroom ceiling and the toilet seat wasn’t attached properly. We were only given two towels although the room was booked for three. Otherwise, the room was clean enough and the service was very helpful. Free parking which wasn’t clear when booking.
