We were so hoping to find a new place to stay for a week-long visit close to our family after the wonderful Mary Prentiss Inn closed, but this didn't work out for us. We were given a large room which looked nice, but the bed was rock hard and so were pillows. Also, the central heat coming out of the turned off radiator was unbearably hot, even with the window open and A/C window unit fan turned on. We tried to solve the problem by asking staff to help us turn off our radiator, but they said it couldn't be done. We went to Target in Porter Square to buy a mattress topper and a softer pillow. That helped but it was still too hot and uncomfortable at night. We finally gave up and checked out 3 nights early. We had to pay for two of the 3 nights. Not sure about cleanliness of place. Staff did not wear masks. There was an old tea bag in water pot in room, a hair in tub/shower when we first checked in and plastic pieces of something in bathroom sink drain. No cleaning service provided.. No breakfast or fresh coffee in dining area. Very sorry this didn't work out since location is ideal.
