Comfort Suites Wisconsin Dells Area

We have stayed here before, but became concerned we made a poor choice after reading recent negative reviews. Our room was clean and ready at check in, the overall stay was great! They are making strides toward improvement. We travel frequently and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

We booked suites while driving (only 2 rooms left) and arrived around 10:00 at night. Upon checking in our suite was disgusting. Dried soda pop (hoping that’s all it was) in the sink, and the tub drain nearly clogged with hair. Room was stale and disgusting. We requested a different room and got one without any problem at all. This room was equally as dirty and the air conditioner didn’t work either. We again got another room which was a bit better. By now it is nearing midnight and we are just tired and want to sleep. Next morning I stepped on toenail clippings that I hadn’t seen the night before. The breakfast was disgusting, the pool area was not clean, and ceiling pine boards are falling down. The hot tub was empty and taped off. The ceiling fan in the breakfast area had dust snakes hanging off the blades and I doubt the fans have been cleaned in the last 5 years. Hands down one of the most disgusting and filthy places I have ever stayed and even a 1 star rating is far too high, especially given the $180 room cost

Absolute waste of money! Don’t bother, when we first checked in we were given a room with a cracked window that hadn’t been repaired, dried feces on the toilet seat, and someone else’s spit and toothpaste sitting in the sink still. I asked for another room and they switched us, but it really didn’t get any better only worse. The next day after a basketball tournament we returned around 4pm to find an elevator with syrup from breakfast hours ago all on the floor of the elevator and completely sticky. I wish I never stayed here, this is all after we were ripped off by mount olympus.

Worst hotel ever!!! The pictures are a complete lie!! First got there and the grass hasn’t been mowed for months. Walked inside and it’s all dark and dirty. The hotel staff looks so unprofessional and doesn’t care. We get to our room and disgusting. Bodily fluids everywhere, dried feces, vomit, in the toilet and massive blood stain on mattress. They tell us the room they gave us wasn’t on our list to clean. Staff had to call the manager to get a refund and the manager on the phone was completely unprofessional and yelling about how we did not want to stay and mad we wanted a refund. He also lied about giving us a refund. We had to dispute it with our bank and thankfully the bank took care of this! STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!! This place should be shut down.

I would stay clear of this place I stayed there for one night passing through my credit card was hacked the hotel tried to make multiple changes after I checked out. Days later nobody returned my call

Our queen beds were Very comfortable. Loved the fact there was a walk in shower. Breakfast had eggs, sausage links, tater tots, bagels, cereal, fruit, waffles, etc. Easy checking out. Will stay here again next time driving through.

Worst hotel ever!!!! Dirty, smells and horrible attitude service. We arrived at 7 pm with family they have enough time to make room ready. We waiting for 45 minutes on the front desk before they give us keys. When we arrived at room heater is not working and so many supplies from workers in the room. Outside is 15F . I ask to front desk to switch other room or give me at least heater at room. We waiting in the jacket for 2 hours. They bring broken heater again!!!! I would like to talk to manager the front desk tell she very busy. I find phone from *********** and call to hotel the manager Susan pick up I ask if she knew about problem in my room she start yelling at me, and kicking me from hotel with police . I have been shocked how this manager fix problem. I so shamed at owner at that hotel. Not respect to talk to customers like that and kicked at the street with police!!! I think police have enough to do with criminal not people who came to vacation. So we leave hotel with police at 11.00 pm I wish has all them same vacation and same service what they did to other. !!! Please read reviews before booking hotel don’t ignore what I did last time, because location. When I read reviews it’s not surprise me why police is often there!

Short drive to both the Dells and Baraboo. Room itself was fine. Good size. Pool is large which was nice for kids. However the pool room was the temperature of a sauna with little to no venlation: fans either didn't work or were off. Not sure there is an adequate cleaning schedule or staffing. Common area garbages full all day and full are had random debris entire stay. Rooms were being cleaned at 9 and 10 at night both nights of our stay. Breakfast included but not very fresh or well restocked. First day ran out of forks and spoons which when requested to be refilled (during breakfast) was told were out. Hard to eat cereal or yogurt with no silverware. We stayed two nights and got room right away at check in which was lucky. Multiple other fanilies in our group checked in at 7pm ish next day and thier rooms weren't ready until 9:30 pm. After a long and busy day arriving well after 4 ocloock check in time for rooms to not ready is unacceptable when you have a reservation. I'd atay here in a pinch, but given an option would go elsewhere.

We have stayed at this hotel in the past and found it excellent. My experience today is very different. We prepaid $351 for two nights in expectation of a great experience. When we entered nobody was manning the front desk. Visually the lobby looked worn down and not matching the website photos or our past experiences. When the clerk arrived she was not rude, but also not friendly. Found our room to be clean but the furnishings were clearly in need of replacement, including the mattress. We appear to have had the same room as a different reviewer from this month with missing mirrors and broken light fixtures. We left after checking in for a family event and when we returned at 10pm there was no hot water. The front desk clerk was pleasant and addressed the problem. This morning the breakfast was meager to say the least. Microwaved link sausage, powdered scrambled eggs, crumbling tater tot’s and waffles, and dried mini donuts. The kicker was there were no forks to eat with! Again I went to the front desk and the clerk said they were coming. 30+ minutes later there were still no forks and they were running out of spoons as more guests arrived. One more night here and it will be the last one ever. On the plus side the a/c and WI-FI was good. These accommodations were not worth even half of the price charged.
