Hotel mit einigen Marken der Zeit, aber weiter in guter Form. Zimmer waren sauber. Das Frühstück ist kein großes Angebot, aber es hat Qualität und es ist mehr als genug, gut zu essen. Der Pool ist nicht sehr groß, aber die meisten Zeit war leer, so war es eine tolle Option. Obwohl das Hotel nicht im historischen Stadtzentrum ist, ist es nicht weit von ihm entfernt und kann einfach Fuß gemacht werden. Sie haben auch ein paar große Parks in der Nähe, wo Sie für einen schönen Spaziergang gehen können. Kostenlose Parkplätze in der Straße war möglich und einfach. In einer Nutshell: Gute Wahl für eine Straßenreise. Sicherlich ein 4-Sterne-Hotel, aber nicht auf einem höheren Niveau.

The hotel itself is located just a mile away from Caceres which when passing through it and on the approach to the hotel appeared to be a heavily built up, semi industrial and populated area with high rise flats. On arrival it may take you a few minutes to figure out where reception is as all the signs around the hotel are tiny and far from user friendly. The rooms themselves are quite well appointed with the usual coffee making facilities, TV, a safe, hairdryer etc. There is a small mini bar but be warned it is overly expensive, for example a small bag of crisps is €5 and a small bottle of coke is €6 The staff are all very friendly, courteous and helpful In a so called 5* even in this warm climate you would not expect to find any trace of black mould in the shower/bath area. However, in our room there was and it was clear to see. Non secure parking is available in the car park, however considering the nearby surrounding area if you are on a motorbike you may want to consider booking a place in the underground garage. This is secure but even for a motorbike it will cost you €15 per night. This hotel and its grounds are vast and it has a lovely pool with a relaxing poolside bar and other quiet chilling areas. The restaurant serves very nice, well presented food and the breakfast is very very impressive. A nice hotel but typically for a 5* hotel (Really a 4* with a Spa) they have maximised every opportunity to help you empty your wallet.

Zum Abschluss unserer Extremadurareise wählten wir für 5 Tage diesen außergewöhnlichen geschichtsträchtigen Parador. Vorweg, es ist zweifelsohne einer der besten Paradors, den wir bisher besuchten. Ambiente, Service, Verpflegung, Sauberkeit, Lage, alles war Top. Die schmackhafte und variantenreiche Küche war die positive Überraschung, selbst Wild gab es auf der Speisekarte. Das gesamte Hotelpersonal war immer freundlich und kompetent. Der Speisesaal ein Traum! Einzig der Ober mit Vollbart, der abends an der Bar eingesetzt wurde, war eine glatte Fehlbesetzung. Seine Fähigkeiten zuzuhören und Bestellungen richtig aufzunehmen waren deutlich eingeschränkt, einmal auf einen Mangel offen angesprochen, hatte bei ihm nur eine Unfreundlichkeit zur Folge. Vielleicht kann hier eine Nachschulung oder eine notwendige Umbesetzung auch den letzten Mangel im Hotel beseitigen!
