I did not end up staying at Volubiis Guest House and perhaps that was a good thing. My husband and I booked in early January, but changed our plans a week or so later. I asked for a refund. I had given the place a full 1000 plus dollars on my major credit card. After many promises of a refund coming it did not. I had to file a dispute with my credit card. Mr. Bernardi, at Volubis, claimed it was the fault of Stripe, which is a payment processing place. I contacted Stripe, and this was not so. Luckily my credit card company figured out that this was shady and finally, Bernardi, allowed or legitimized to his bank I was due a refund. It took two months and lots of mistruths, via emails from Volubis Guest House. Also, I tried calling the guest house, but the owner would not answer my calls, but did answer the call from Bordeaux Chamber of Commerce who contacted him on my behalf. He also told them wrong info. Sad, the place looked good as per photos on line. Beware!
