Vrooman Mansion B&B

SO pleasantly surprised by this hidden gem in the heart of Bloomington. I booked an overnight here in their Carriage House- Charlevoix Suite for my husband’s Birthday and it was just the present I wanted to give him. The suite had the most beautiful decor and luxurious ambiance. The copper claw foot tube being one of my personal favorites. The bed was very comfortable and the thoughtfulness of the amenities was definitely noticed. Pam and her staff were so welcoming. They prepared a delicious birthday cake for my husband and had it in the kitchen when we arrived to the carriage house. They also had some appetizers and a marvelous charcuterie board for us. Pam also went out of the way to make sure that my husband had his Mt Dew Baja Blast and chocolate milk. We had a wonderful stay and then breakfast the next morning was definitely the icing on the cake. We walked over through the amazingly landscaped grounds to the mansion in the morning to be served THE most tasty breakfast I’ve had in a long time. The sweet potato and sausage frittata was so savory and fitting for the first day of fall. However, the peaches n’ cream stuffed French toast was a MUST HAVE, will think about later, dish. 10/10 recommend staying here ESPECIALLY if you’re local like us. What an amazing experience that we’ll always remember. We can’t wait to go back and visit. We hear that Christmas time is extraordinarily magical!

The hospitality is so warm. Our tour upon checking in was very full history of the grounds. The energy so welcoming. The breakfast absolutely unmatched. Will be coming back with so many more friends in the future. Amazing space for events!!

My daughter and I stayed the evening after a concert at the Castle Theatre. The entire mansion is so unique and the history is evident throughout. Our room, Master’s Chamber, was very comfortable with a private bathroom. The breakfast was excellent, ranking in the top two or three restaurant breakfasts I’ve had. I would recommend staying at the Vrooman Mansion to anyone.

This home is one in a million and we would stay again in a heartbeat. The hostess/owner gave us a wonderful tour of the entire mansion and there were several unexpected amenities including snacks, drinks, treats scattered throughout the home, and luxury personal care items such as shampoo and soap. The owners are carefully restoring stained glass windows and staying true to the history. We own an older home and know how much constant care and attention it takes. You will absolutely love this place if you have any interest in historic homes. Also, the breakfast is to die for!!

This was our third stay in as many years. The Vrooman staff are always friendly and gracious… and the breakfast was so delicious! I had an issue with my phone when ordering a ride share and one of the staff members ordered it for me on her own phone. Always above and beyond!

First time ever staying in a bed and breakfast, and it didn’t disappoint. Warm welcome when we arrived, a quick tour of a lovely historic mansion. Well thought out with extra touches that made the stay memorable. Great gourmet breakfast! A+

We stopped for one night at Vrooman Mansion as part of our Route 66 trip. Brian met us at the door and gave us a full historical tour of the house. As we knew nothing about the house, family or area, this was very interesting. We had a room in the main house. It was very comfortable and spacious. There was A/C, it was little noisy, but it didn’t stop us from having great nights sleep. Breakfast is around a massive dining table with other guests. The food was really good and plentiful. The area was peaceful and within walking distance of the town where there are some nice restaurants. We ate at Epiphany, would recommend it.

Our stay at the Vrooman Mansion exceeded expectations. The mansion itself is beautifully preserved depicting historic accuracy. The luxurious amenities made our stay there very comfortable. The scrumptious breakfast was a unique escape from the ordinary. Our host was pleasant and accommodating.

Beautiful historic mansion beautifully kept up with lovely comfortable rooms and impeccable service. The breakfast isn’t to be missed! The host was kind, knowledgeable, sent us to a delicious farm to table restaurant nearby and served us a delicious breakfast. Highly recommended !!
