Cons: On arrival, I was completely gobsmacked when I saw the condition of the outside of the hotel compared to the pics online. What had I paid for? The first area they assigned us was like the back of a dirty building with moldy lattice, chicken wire/mesh and filthy, mossy paint-stained staircases. The rooms are outdated, with tiny tub/shower stalls, smelly shower curtains, tiny bed pillows, and smelling strong of bleach which made it impossible to breathe. The reception staff were not friendly initially but warmed up afterwards given our subsequent issues with the stay. I complained and we were moved to a better-smelling room but all the rooms looked run down and the stucco on the ceiling had cobwebs imbedded in the creases. Then I thought they had redeemed themselves a little bit with the a la carte breakfast - particularly the Tobago Breakfast option which tasted sublime. The chef was nice and the Floor Manager was very efficient. Unfortunately on our last day, the same breakfast option didn't taste as great as the first day. The young lady was not warm or efficient in taking the orders and so half of my order came out and there was a problem with every thing that did eventually come out: potatoes too hard, the saltfish extremely salty, the pumpkin and eggplant underseasoned... The kids pool area was untidy with utility tools lying unattended as though unattended for weeks and the pool water was dirty. I could go on and on but you get the picture: they're too shabby to charge so much money for a stay. Pros Kanisha's helpfulness when she eventually warmed up, the Chef's spunk that comes out only on Saturdays and the efficiency and awareness of the petite breakfast floor manager with the short curly hair and glasses.
