We stayed at this hotel for a short holiday to celebrate our child’s birthday, and it was a wonderful experience. I emailed the hotel in advance about the occasion, and they went out of their way to arrange decorations and a birthday cake — a thoughtful surprise that made the celebration extra special for our birthday girl. The hotel is very new, having opened recently, so everything was clean and modern. They offer a free shuttle service to and from the ferry terminal, which made transportation hassle-free. Even better, the staff helped us collect our ferry tickets in advance, so we didn’t need to arrive early at the terminal. The service throughout our stay was excellent. The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. For families, this hotel is very kid-friendly. There’s a kids’ club with different activities scheduled every few hours, where parents can drop off their children with peace of mind. There’s also a small water play area near the kids’ club, which our child really enjoyed. The beach is just a short walk from the hotel — it’s clean and ideal for water activities. There are options for jet skiing, ATV rides along the shore, and other fun beach activities for both kids and adults. The only downside is the limited dining options — the hotel has only 1 or 2 restaurants, so food choices are somewhat restricted. Overall, this hotel is a great choice for families, especially with young children. With thoughtful service, fun activities, and a beautiful beach nearby, we had a memorable stay and would gladly return.

Das Anwesen hat viel Potenzial und das Servicepersonal hat eine wunderbare Einstellung. Es wurde erst im Oktober eröffnet, also ist noch nicht alles fertig. Es war insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt, aber es gab mehrere kleine Enttäuschungen und wir kommen zu dem Schluss, dass wir woanders übernachten würden, wenn wir nach Bintan zurückkehren würden (obwohl wahrscheinlich nicht bald). - Wir hatten Glück, das Zimmer früh beim Check-in zu bekommen (~12:30 Uhr), weil das Zimmer fertig war. - Das F&B-Team hatte die meisten Probleme. Wir aßen am ersten Tag spät zu Mittag - das Restaurant war nicht voll, aber sie konnten mit den Bestellungen nicht fertig werden. Wir warteten über 40 Minuten und andere Tische, die später kamen, wurden vor uns bedient. Das Essen war nicht einmal kochend heiß, als es ankam, was seltsam ist – stand es herum und wurde einfach nicht serviert?? - Beim Frühstück an den folgenden Tagen im selben und einzigen Restaurant war auch immer etwas nicht in Ordnung. Z. B. lange Wartezeiten, vergessene Bestellungen und wenn wir nach Gerichten fragten, tauchten zwei davon auf. Trotzdem waren alle Mitarbeiter super nett und wir sind dankbar – wenn auch immer noch enttäuscht. - das Zimmer war sehr schön, aber die Hängelampe am Bett hat einen unpraktischen Konstruktionsfehler. Sie klappert ab und zu wegen der Klimaanlage. Ich habe es ignoriert, aber mein Mann wurde wahnsinnig 😅 er musste es mit einem Handtuch auspolstern. - das Telefon im Zimmer war auch seltsam. Wir mussten viele Male versuchen, die „0“ für den Gästeservice zu wählen – es gibt keine andere Nummer, die man anrufen könnte. Manchmal klang es, als würde es klingeln/eine Verbindung herstellen, aber es passierte nichts. - die Zimmermädchen haben unser Zimmer die ganze Zeit, als wir am zweiten Tag weg waren, nicht gereinigt. Sie kamen erst, als wir uns gegen 17 Uhr wieder ausruhten. - Indigo erlaubt keine gemeinsame Nutzung von Einrichtungen mit dem Schwesterhotel, was heutzutage ehrlich gesagt eine verpasste Gelegenheit ist. Ich habe den Überblick über die Anzahl der Resorts verloren, die das tun und es als Pluspunkt vermarkten. Es scheint fast seltsam, dass sie es nicht tun, obwohl es virtuell mit IHG verbunden ist. - das war mir nicht klar, aber sie bezeichnen sich nicht als Familienhotel, also gibt es keinen Kinderclub. Wählen Sie diesen Ort nicht, wenn Sie einen Ort brauchen, um Ihre Kinder zu unterhalten. Ich war überrascht, dass ein Strandresort keinen Kinderclub hat 😆 - das Hotel wollte meinem 5-Jährigen einen Aufpreis auferlegen, der sich dasselbe Zimmer und dasselbe Bett teilte und (meiner Meinung nach) nicht wesentlich mehr Ressourcen verbrauchte als ein anderer Gast, der vielleicht nur ein Paar ohne Kind war. Wir waren in vielen anderen Hotels, die mit dem Konzept „Kinder übernachten kostenlos“ prahlten, sofern man nicht nach einem zusätzlichen Ausziehbett fragte. Wie auch immer, obwohl die Gebühr relativ üblich ist, war die Erklärung, die ich bekam, als ich gefragt wurde, wofür die Gebühr verwendet wird, schwach. Und nach dem Aufenthalt hatte ich umso mehr das Gefühl, dass es nicht viel gab, was diese sogenannte zusätzliche Gebühr rechtfertigte.

The whole experience was very amazing. The service was excellence! From the moment we stepped foot into Bintan Ferry terminal, we were greeted by the friendly staff and they just made us feel comfortable till the moment we stepped foot out of Bintan Ferry terminal. The moment we stepped on board the bus, we were given biscuit and cold towels and not forgetting the free wifi throughout our 75mins journey to the Resort. When we reached we were greeted by friendly staff and immediately we were lead to a room for our welcome drinks and check-in. The check-in process was fast but no room were available at 11 plus. We were told that our room would only be available at 2pm (it is already earlier as check-in timing is at 3pm) and the staff had advised us to walk around and go for our lunch first during the waiting time. It the end, we managed to get our lunch at 1pm (earlier then what they told us). What I like about the resort is that they update their activies and replies all through whatsapps. When we entered into your room, our luggage was already delivered there and the aircons were on. So it was already cooling.....weather in Bintan is HOT in Dec. Hahhahaa. The room was very beautiful and spacious. It was so amazing and romantic. It really make me don't want to leave the room. The food there was nice too. Although there is only two restaurant but they do have a great range of variety. And every evening, they have different dinner theme. The night I was there they had pasar malam night. Food stalls were setup at the open with tables and chairs and understand from the staff that the following night they were doing BBQ by the sea. Too bad, I'm only there for a night. They also have a huge breakfast spread. There are live music at the pool bar. Beside drinks, there are food serve there too. The live music is GREAT! It is really a pleasant stay!

Totally a brand new experience as you are staying in the actual ship's cabin.. the hotel crew arranged a tour within the ships to various compartments , we had a chance to visit the engine room the upper deck and many others rooms that are usually restricted for passengers in a sailing ship. The history of the ship was very well explained by the Hotel Crew.. The foods served are delicious too. Overall it's a nice hide-out from a hustle and bustle city life

The villa was beautiful, even better than the pictures. However, cleanliness was slightly lacking, we had sand on our toilet floor even though we did not go to the beach. Service was pretty good, quick and fast response to queries, staff were all pretty friendly as well. Three things that could be improved were management of flies, the environment (temperature, humidity) of their restaurant, as well as the breakfast selection. Whenever we had a meal in the restaurant, there were a myraid of flies flying around us and our meal, which was certainly less than appealing. The restaurant was also warm and humid. Lastly, breakfast selection were subpar at best, taste wise was average. Overall, okay stay, would consider coming back for the villa but would skip anything food and restaurant related. Side note: if you are afraid of bugs, the toilet is a huge downside to this villa as its open concept, which means bugs would be present in the toilet (there was a small worm on the toilet paper).

The hotel and its facilities are very nice. Here and there a few spots of improvements needed but otherwise a very attractive hotel with lovely features. A very pleasant stay starts with a dedicated lounge at the ferry terminal which is available upon arrival and departure (taking care of your visa and other requirements). Travel to the actual hotel is within short 20 minutes by hotel shuttle bus. You can chose between colonial style suites at the main building or near by or Thai/ Bali style villas on the large ground and a short walk away from the main building. The Thai villas are very nice, filled with all the necessary amenities and some top of the range products. Plenty of storage space, outdoor veranda seating and well kept exterior make it really nice. At the main section, the pool is with its 50 meter in length a true highlight, together with the very easy and close proximity to the pristine and huge beach section. Although facing north, the beach is actually in a bay and can be explored for hours. Also well worth mentioning is the spa which provides truly amazing treatments administered by very experienced therapists who will truly pamper you from start to finish. Regrettably, there are also a number of shortcomings. Although the hotel provides insect repellant for your daily use, even the best of preventions and best of cleaning/ spraying efforts of the staff will not stop billions of sand flees attacking you on the beach, especially after rain or during the evening hours when you become their dinner. However, the biggest drawback is the food and beverage section. For a hotel operating in such a high price category, the restaurant is a true letdown perhaps even the sole reason for not coming back again. Yes staff everywhere is very friendly, attentive and making it their business to know you by your first name from the start, but the entire food and beverage section requires a lot of improvements to even get close to a star rated service. Yes the drinks are well made (guess can be expected at prices of US$20 plus) but the restaurant service truly lacks what it takes. The food, expensive as it is, lacks any sort of imagination, is void of any special touches, and surely does not represent Indonesian cuisine in any shape or form. As said, staff are very friendly and trying their best however, if they are not taught the basics or led by indifferent managers, then things need to change. Management comes from the top. In summary, if you are looking for a nice place to relax in a colonial style building, not too crowded with a lovely pool, then please try the Sanchaya. However, if you looking for cuisine which is anything but poor, not even ordinary, then you better look elsewhere.

Excellent location away from the usual water parks and tourists. The resort is only an hr from the ferry terminal, for an additional fee, they can arrange pickup/drop off. The room is way better than the photos advertised. Every amenity you can think of is available including insect repellent cream. This is the place to stay if you want to be close to nature. There are a few species of kingfishers, sandpipers and swifts, raptors, etc just to name a few. The main highlight of this place is when the tide is low, you can walk out and go fish hunting, spot different species of crabs, and mudskippers, etc. Since it is a mangrove beach, inevitably there are sandflies so it's important to cover up when heading to the beach. The staff are friendly and food is amazing. I will be back again hopefully in the near future.

The resort located outside of Bintan Resort, and it takes 40 mins to get there by cab which needs to be booked at the ferry terminal. That aside, it was all worth it as the resort was really private and most importantly the service was top. specifically would like to highlight Fazli and Deden that were extremely helpful and cheerful. They never failed to attend to our queries promptly and went beyond what was expected. Thanks once again for the great experience!

Great place to relax, very clean. Very nice staff and food is very good. The beach is very nice also
