Il Poggio Degli Olivi

Il Poggio degli Olivi is based in a wonderful location. The pool area, views of Assisi and surrounding areas, main reception building and restaurant were all excellent. The menu in the restaurant was small but food and wine were excellent. Bed was comfortable and air con worked well. We were provided with an excellent folder of local information. BUT......... Things fell down in the state of the accommodation. We stayed in the self-catering units further down the hill, which had no view due to big trees blocking this. The apartment was very tired in terms of decor, limited in terms of self catering facilities and not very clean (especially the shower (tiles and plug hole) and dusty dado rail/wardrobe shelves and kitchen area.) We asked for a kettle and clothes rack to dry towels/costumes etc (as non already provided), which arrived the same day. (the kettle didn't actually reach anything close to boiling point, so we continued to boil water in a saucepan for making tea!). Kitchen area really not in a good way- small, dark, worn, broken tiles and therefore a bit grimy, trim missing- really not very inviting or good for cooking! There was one pan that had been put away unwashed which had clearly had milk boiled in it too! Could not get TV to work properly - some easy instructions for all the appliances would have been very helpful. Some areas of wood trim missing, or fell off while we were there! (Which they did come to re-fix on the same day.) We also felt slightly "second in line" when compared to some other guests visiting, (think they were day guests using the pool?) who always seemed to be served first at the bar area, even when our order had been taken first!! Overall what could have been THE most amazing holiday was ruined by the apartment which was generally worn out, not welcoming or clean and therefore not value for money.

Ho pernottato in questo agriturismo tramite uno Smartbox, in cui era incluso anche una degustazione oli presso il loro ristorante. La cena non era inclusa ma consiglio vivamente l osteria! Le camere sono spaziose, stile tra il moderno e l antico e pulite. Sicuramente è meglio soggiornare in primavere o in estate perché si può godere anche della piscina panoramica, ma anche in questo periodo trasmette tranquillità.

ristorante terribile, abbiamo vomitato tutta la cena, abbiamo provato a contattare la reception di notte per cercare di tamponare la situazione con delle tisane o qualcosa che potesse aiutarci a digerire ciò che avevamo mangiato, ma non abbiamo ricevuto risposta. abbiamo inoltre provato a bussare alla porta della reception, invano perché il servizio notturno (cosa non comunicata) non è attivo. I prezzi sono a dir poco eccessivi per la scarsa qualità dei servizi.

Bellissima struttura di fronte ad Assisi con vista sulla Valle umbra, piscina panoramica con un ottimo servizio bar (tartare e cocktail super). Appartamento molto curato sia nell’arredamento che nella pulizia, bagni completamente nuovi con doccia idromassaggio apprezzatissima. La ciliegina sulla torta è il ristorante interno con un ampio menu ricco di prodotti del territorio con un servizio cordiale e attento. Vale il viaggio!

Ho avuto il piacere di soggiornare in questa struttura immersa nella natura e in un paesaggio unico. Il personale cordiale e disponibile per ogni esigenza. Camere e bagni ben arredati, ottima pulizia e adatti al contesto del paesaggio. La piacevole sorpresa è stata nel ristorante che offre una cucina autentica delle tradizioni locali e con prodotti di filiera corta. Piatti ottimi, ben presentati e raccontati negli ingredienti. Si vede che dietro c'è un intenso lavoro di ricerca delle materie prime migliori. Il prodotto tipico del posto, l'olio extra vergine di oliva, viene presentato in varie tipologie e merita veramente di essere degustato sia sui vari tipi di pane che per esaltare i piatti. E' la struttura che rappresenta l'eccellenza umbra!!!
