Fairfield Inn & Suites Birmingham Bessemer

The staff that night and the next morning were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were clean and attractive. The room was clean and spacious (king suite). They need more plug ins or places to charge devices. There could have been more than one hand towel and washcloth. It didn’t make sense that there was only one of each.

The front desk staff is excellent! From check in to check out, I had a great experience. Jaime and Keisha are the best! I stayed 3 nights. Housekeeping was just ok. The bodywash top did not open. The bathroom floor was not mopped/cleaned. Someone entered my room unannounced while I was in the shower.

Another great stay at this hotel; my husband and I visited family for memorial day weekend and we've stayed here a couple years ago. No complaints. Great stay, clean room, decent breakfast, great staff, nice friendly, attentive and professional. I was not aware that room cleaning was every other day unless requested which is not a deal breaker however; I would just be sure to mention to guest as they check in. Nice gym, it's been updated since last stay. Great and convenient location to key places in Bessemer. Highly recommend.

This hotel does not rent rooms to locals residents. This should be posted on their website. I traveled 2 hours from Huntsville for a wedding event. I have family that was going to get the room for me. When they were turned away, I tried to get the room for myself and they refused lodging to me. I explained that I lived 2 hours away and they still refused because they believed my local family would be staying in the room. They would not even check my driver's license.

While this place is affordable. I could not walk on the carpet without thinking they were sticky. Maybe time for a steam clean. The bed was pretty comfy. Grabbed some coffee in the way out the door and it was fresh. So if you can find a moderately same price place maybe try that instead.

Room was nice and clean as expected. but my biggest disappointment was the hotel not having the hot tub like in the pictures. and the front desk was clueless about it. There were quite a few other hotels I could've picked and I chose this one because of the hot tub! I went with my 2 adult daughters, expecting to relax in it and the indoor pool was too cold to get it. I advise for management to remove those pictures of the hot tub asap, so more guests don't get disappointed. It's false advertisement.

Nice hotel in a nice area. The staff was friendly and the room was clean. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. The mattress could have been more comfortable, but I realize that is often a personal preference. Overall, it was a good stay and I have no issue recommending.

I stayed here for the Alabama game and it seemed most of the guests were fellow fans. I could tell by the lack of parking spaces after the game concluded. The location is mid way between Birmingham and Tuscaloosa. It is a good location to visit both places. The hotel looked new and the rooms were clean and the linens were fresh. I had a good view of the forest from my window. There is free breakfast in the morning. It was a good experience to stay here.

Decent hotel, but there’s a mold problem. We stayed here for one night while moving across country. The hotel itself is nice and generally clean. The staff was helpful and the complimentary breakfast in the morning was pretty good too! However, I noticed throughout the night that I felt a bit sick. Then I realized that the lamp shades were covered in mold - indicating a high volume of mold spores in the air I was breathing. Realizing mold is growing in your hotel room is one of the most unsettling feelings. This was in room 213. I really hope this is resolved because mold can be super dangerous for both guest’s and staff’s health.
