Jaguar Creek

This place was a great eco-lodge in the jungle. The grounds are absolutely beautiful! The cabana and dining room were extremely clean! The cabana was beautiful, though I do recommend you get one with air conditioning (my only regret - it was HOT). The food was good. The howler monkeys were active. But the absolute best part of Jaguar Creek is the staff!! Daryl and Leanne will take great care of you!

I cannot say enough good things about Jaguar Creek! My husband and I went for our honeymoon (12 nights). The resort was a dream come true. From the excellence in the crafting of the landscaping (thanks Mr. Carlos for telling us all about it!) to the serene creek, and abundant wildlife, there wasn't anything I could have dreamed up better. The cabana was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. We booked cabana 8. It was perfect! It is the last cabana on that side of the property, and the deck faced away from the other cabanas. We truly felt like we had the jungle to ourselves! Our last night with Jaguar Creek we were the only guests on the property. They upgraded us to their best cabana as well as setting up a romantic dinner on the deck of the restaurant! The food was AMAZING. The produce and meat are all locally sourced, and the breads are fresh, homemade, and delicious. The staff are amazing (special shoutout to LeeAnn - you're the literal best). They went above and beyond for us with anything we needed from ice to take back to our cabana (we had one without A/C), serving us our favorite drink (the horchata is delicious!) for lunch (again - thanks LeeAnn), to helping us plan and execute an after-hours hike in a national park (shoutout to Evan, Ari and Abraham). Speaking of, the excursions were amazing as well! We did Xunantinich and Cahal Pech Full day tour, 7 Miles Cave Kayaking full day tour, and Placencia Beach full day tour. All of the excursions were excellent, and the guides we had were so knowledgeable and experienced it felt like we were really getting to know the places/culture. I could go on and on about Jaguar Creek (and have to my family and friends), but the long story short is - I love Jaguar Creek, the staff and would go back in a heart beat!

Located about 90-minutes from Belize City, Jaguar Creek Lodge provided nature as well as modern conveniences for my family. The amenities at the lodge were adequate. Indeed, I had a water cooler and a fridge, as well as ironing board and electric iron, in my air-conditioned cabana, which came with a king-sized bed and a small bed fit for a child. The ceiling fan provided additional air circulation. There was wi-fi in the office and in the restaurant but not in the cabanas. Our server, Jessica, was friendly and our chef, Daisy, prepared delicious local food for us. We had substantial portions for our breakfasts and dinners. The bar was well stocked and Lee-Anne our bartender was cheerful and welcoming. Ivan at the office helped book for us trips to Xunantunich and the national park. He also prepared a detailed bill for our stay.

We had a great time at Jaguar Creek and the team looked after us very well during low season. Staff were always very helpful and the food was fresh, delicious, and different every day. The lodge is located conveniently close to a few attractions and we enjoyed both relaxing and exploring in equal measure. Thanks again!

We were looking for a unique stay inland and we found it! Exceptional service by Evan, Leanne, Kenny, and Carlos. We rode bikes to the Blue Hole Inland, hiked to St Herman's Cave, swam, and hike Crystal Cave with Pedro, who was also amazing. We definitely plan on returning.

Jaguar creek is a hidden gem, we loved our stay. We stayed in their tropical breeze cabin, with AC, a lovely bed, and private deck to watch the stars. The grounds are gorgeous, the firepits are cozy, and we loved the deck overlooking the creek. Having the creek was a nice surprise! We loved rambling down the creek in inner tubes. Every meal was lovely - from coconut curry to refried beans and flatbread with squash. The sprinter van that picks you up from the airport and to/from activities was comfy, had A/C, and the best drivers (thanks, Kenny and Abraham!) additionally, the location can’t be beat. An hour from ATM, 5 minutes from St Herman’s, and 2 minutes from the Blue Hole cenote. Lastly and most importantly are the staff. From Carlos who helped me fix my bungled reservation to a tourist trap (instead of the local St Herman’s park!) to the warm and gracious restaurant staff who helped my husband plan a magical birthday dinner. Jaguar creek is truly wonderful - every part of our stay was above expectations. Some reviewers point out needing bug spray (duh), the lack of WiFi (you’re in the jungle…there’s very strong WiFi near the main building) and variety in meals (this is an eco lodge). If you’re seeking an adventurous, well-appointed, and quiet lodge, JC is your spot. I am SO glad we chose this over other sports we were initially considering.

What a magnificent place. If you love nature, good food and excellent service, I encourage you to visit. Our family and local friends had an excellent experience!! Every meal was delicious! Cabana 10 (family cabana) was very clean and very comfortable. Lots of fans provided to help us stay cool. Waking up in the forest every morning was a truly a majestic experience. We will surely visit again.

Such a beautiful location! You are right in the jungle, and it is so magical. You can hear the Howler Monkeys in the evening, which is an unforgettable experience. The people went out of their way to accommodate us and were always extremely helpful. The food was delicious. We did three tours through the hotel -ATM caves, Xunantich, and the night safari. All the guides were knowledgeable and fun. I would definitely recommend Jaguar Creek.

Thank you Jaguar Creek for such a wonderful vacation! I’ve heard of this place for years and was so happy to finally visit. The team was so on top of all of the details during our stay. They arranged all of the transfers, arranged our tours to the ATM caves and Tikal, and helped us on a free day. The food was great, Darrel made great cocktails, and I even was able to walk the prayer labyrinth. Ari and Carlos were so kind. I really enjoyed my stay and love this is a social enterprise where proceeds fund local education programs. Thank you Jaguar Creek Team!
