Riverside Hotel with a nice bar and restaurant.
The food was very good and well priced.
Traditionally furnished but with contemporary shower room.
Large rooms with lots of natural light. Good heating.
Easy check in/ out with secure parking by the entrance.
Friendly, accommodating staff.
A couple of minutes walk into the town centre.

Good location,and plenty of Parking.My only issue was with the shower as you have to hold the Spray whilst standing in the bath,but for a few nights Ok,but expect more for £120 a night Hotel.

Very disappointing. I took my wife for our anniversary meal out, today is our 46th. The waitress was very attentive at first, dealt with our drinks request and took our order from the rather limited menu! The fish was quite good, we enjoyed it. Our empty plates were taken away, but that was all that was good about our visit. We waited and waited for the waitress to return in order to order a dessert. Eventually, I had to call for service! The dessert menu is pathetic, we decided to leave VERY disappointed. The restaurant had only 6 or 7 customers, I wonder why? Disappointing menu, disappointing service. We will not be back for our 47th anniversary.

A good friend and I visited this hotel for the first time for a two-night stay and we were very impressed. It had been recommended to us by friends of ours. I stayed in Room 12, at the top of the hotel, with the most perfect view of the river. The room was very well appointed and comfortable with a lot of character. We enjoyed all of the food very much and the staff were delightful. We were also fortunate enough to enjoy the most perfect weather! A perfect location and well situated for other things in the area to explore. We would certainly visit again!

A really great meal was had by four of us last evening at the Waveney House Hotel. The food was exceptional, staff very friendly and the beer was well-kept. In all honesty, we were not expecting it to be as good as it was, and it has definitely upped its game!

We arrived about 1.45, we hadn't booked but we got a table by the window which was lovely. There was a very large party having lunch but we were served promptly. The food was lovely, staff very good, reasonably priced. We would not hesitate coming back.

Stayed at The Waveney House Hotel for a couple of nights over the Coronation weekend our only regret is that we didn't stay longer but a good reason to come back. This is a independent Hotel in a wonderful position on the banks of the River Waveney, the staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed on a B&B basis and the breakfasts set you up for the day, plentiful and great choice & quality. We loved the various photos and pictures on the walls throughout the hotel especially the ones of the renovation which were fascinating. A lovely place to escape city life !

Couldn't ask for a better place to stay. Loved EVERYTHING about it! Quaint, historic building, beautiful views, quick walk down the road to the High Street. Food was OUTSTANDING! It was one of the highlights of our trip.

Attended a wedding at Waveney House Hotel on 16 September and stayed overnight. The staff were so helpful, friendly and hard working - nothing was too much trouble. They are a real asset to the hotel. The venue was perfect and all wedding guests we spoke to were very complimentary of the venue, food and service.
