We went the Bridge Inn last Saturday afternoon for a spit of lunch. We have been meaning to ho for a long time as we just love Port Sunlight. Lovely place. We didn't book. From the moment we arrived we where welcomed by a lovely young lady, who was very hard working. Serving everyone , rushing around. The food was reslly nice too and desert just topped it off. We then finished our drinks outside in the sunshine. Fabulous pub in a fabulous place with fabulous staff. Fabulous day. Highly recommend it and visit the village too. Just stunning.

Gone downhill in here. Used to at least get a decent meal. Came in and opened up a tab in the bar side, massive leak in the bar, water all over the floor. When ordering drinks the bar staff told me 3 people called in sick so there was only a bar menu being served that side, sat back down and chose our burgers. Ordered them at the bar, but wasn't automatically asked if any allergies. I made it clear my niece has egg/ milk allergies and to check if the beef burger was fine for her, he said yes I think so. Ordered them and we waited 30 mins for the food which is a fair time. My nieces burger came out with mayonnaise on it, after making it clear she is allergic to eggs!! My cheeseburger was also burnt to a crisp and the chips on all meals were burnt too. No check backs on the food as well. Absolutely awful experience, I hope this place turns around. Good luck to the manager!

Visited for lunch with a party of four. First impressions were that the property needed some attention, however we were informed that restoration had already started.The food was well prepared and served in good time. The quality was excellent. The visit was enhanced by the friendly service from Shanny and Sean. We would visit again next time we are in the area

Arrived 15.30. I’d rang a couple of days ago saying I was disabled - they told me there were stairs and would help with my luggage! Friendly staff! Room 10 the furthest room! Directly over a function’ below - v loud music- overwhelming the tv. I’m obviously a problem customer as I’m a vegetarian and there are one/two veggie dishes- both mushroom and garlic pies - that’s it! Very poor choice!_ The whole place needs updating- it’s worn out! V surprised it’s a Greens King pub! Could be fabulous !

Came here for the first time 22 years ago… love that Shanny is still working here, she is just awesome and caring. Beer is crisp and clean, double up the JD (and everything else)for an extra £1.50. Always loved the place, still do… can’t recommend this place more!!

When I set foot into this establishment my senses awakened with the sheer overwhelming aura of emotion and welcoming. The staff where so friendly it felt like I had knew them since I was a wee boy. The love and friendship created on this day will be a monument for years to come. I ordered a delightful burger which was so delectable I took a picture of it and it’s on my mantlepiece. Would recommend if you feel like getting your socks blown off in the most positive way.

Came for dinner 17th August with 12 of us for mum's 79th birthday. The restaurant was busy with hotel guests booking at the last minute. We did have a few issues but the young lad called Jack who was the team leader and in charge due to the manager having bereavement in the family. I just want to say he carried out his role flawlessly and did everything in his power to rectify our issues. Sorry I don't know his surname but hopefully you can pass on my appreciation to him

When the rest of Port sunlight is so unrelentingly beautiful, peaceful, well maintained and well presented, by comparison The Bridge Inn is a disgrace. It’s poorly maintained, dirty, thread bear, staffed by people who are enthusiastic amateurs but are badly led and are slaves to policies and processes from the 1970s. This is a cheap hotel that offers only a “place to stay”. If you have other options go with them.
