Gava Hostel

I had such a great time at Gava! Valentina and Andrew were both so sweet, and they gave me such great tips for what to do and where to go. The hostel was very clean; you can tell they put a lot of effort into keeping the area tidy! The hostel itself is basically a room off of the main apartment with 4 beds in it, and all common spaces (kitchen, living room, bathrooms, etc.) are shared, which is great for connecting with new people. Would definitely return!

My travel didn't start easy in the Dominican Republic.I started in another hotel...nobody spoke English and I couldn't find any travellers around me...just tourists on a resort vacation.I found out about Gava hostel and Valentina and Andrey let me sleep there although they actually didn't have space anymore.They helped me with everything and made me feel happy again.In the end they even helped me planning my travel through the Dominican Republic.I highly recommend this hostel because of this beautiful owners I will never forget. Valentina and her partner are one of the best host for accommodation I had. Communication before checking was good, they always want to make sure that you are ok during the visit the country, they gave good tips for travelling around, shops supermarkets and affordable restaurants. On arrival Valentina advised very well on excursions, surroundings, things to do, I was so glad that I booked my excursions with them as they know the best companies at good price and is fun to go with other people who are also staying at GAVA Hostel, I strongly recommend booking all the excursions with them. The accommodation itself is a small flat, very cosy and easy to meet other travellers, kitchen with all you need, toilet and a good size bathroom, nice front garden, beds where comfortable, clean, the whole flat was plotless clean, the room was small but enough for 4 people, fans where provided, quiet to sleep at night, beach 5-10 minutes walk with nice disco bar. I asked for a lower bunk bed and was reserved by them, anything that they can do, to make your stay more comfortable they will do it, they asked If I needed anything during my stay to let them know, shower towels provided. Good location near the beach, near supermarkets and shops. I would stay here again if I come back to Punta Cana, affordable price for the area. No AC in the room, although fans are provided, not much negative feedback apart from that, they are super nice people.

Ha sido muy placentero haberme alojado en este espacio muy armonioso. Un ambiente muy acogedor y tranquilo. Un espacio en el que la limpieza es impecable y ordenado. La hospitalidad y la atención de Valentina me hizo sentir como en casa. ¡Volveré!

Super accueil, très propre, sécurité irreprochable. On se sent comme à la maison. Parfait pour les petits budgets, souhaitant dépenser leur argent dans les excursions.. plutôt que dans les resorts.. Merci à Andrey et Valentina pour leur disponibilités !

A recepção do hostel é muito boa, mas escolha o local se estiver procurando onde ficar e relaxar, porque não é local para festas ou barulho, fica bem próximo a praia e a bares e restaurantes, o staff te deixa bem a vontade mas é importante respeitar as regras do local.
