Crowne Plaza Executive Center Baton Rouge

We stayed here for 3 nights during the National American Miss pageant. The hotel facility is very spacious and good for holding big events. The workout room is by for the best I've seen at a hotel. The room on the other hand was not worth the money. My daughter pulled out the sleeper sofa to find dirty linen leftover, Old coffee filter left in coffee pot, and the walls are stained really bad. These are minor but leads me to believe what else what not cleaned especially after what happened the next day. The cleaning crew went in our room to gather the dirty linen but not replenish linens or empty any of the trash. When my wife asked for clean wash cloths she acted like she wasn't sure if they had any clean available. (WHAT??). Luckily she did. The air conditioner is very loud and will only work when the fan is in the on position. If you put it in auto the compressor doesn't come on therefore never cooling. They have a note saying you can text them if you need something. Well that's a joke. Attempted twice with no response on one and 8 hrs later on the other. The shower is really nice and spacious, but mom and dad if you decide to take a hot shower together make sure you check the door. You pretty much have to slam it to latch. You will get the impression it's closed but if you barely touch, it WILL OPEN. I know some of this is picky and you expect that paying $60 a night not $139.

This is the second time I've stayed here and I have no complaints about this hotel. I am a big critic and if there was one single thing wrong I'll say something about it, but I couldn't find not one single thing wrong. The rooms were comfortable, dinner and breakfast downstairs was perfect. The best exercise room I've seen at a hotel. Check-in was fast and was done very professionally. This hotel is superclean. I'll recommend this hotel to all my family and friends......

The stained couch... The stained curtains... The patched walls... The exposed electrical wires to the a/c unit... Popcorn ceilings... No ventilation in the shower... The rug was just as old and filthy... Lots of areas for potential bugs to hang out, luckily we didn't see any. At least the bed was clean and the mattress was new... Glad we were only here to sleep for a few hours.

Avoid going to this hotel during rush hour because the actual 15 to 20 minute drive can become 45 minutes in rush hour. Close to the highway so if your roommates that way, hope you are not a light sleeper. The hotel is fairly ok. Located in a ***** of hotels and some restaurants. This is not downtown though. The size of the room is ok, the vanity in the bathroom is high as well as the peephole. I think it is for 5'5" people only. The couch needs to be replaced or upholstered. The staff is what makes this hotel very friendly and welcoming. So thank you to the staff, you do make me want to come back even in rush hour!

I had nothing but positive experiences from my one night at this hotel. Parking was spacious and free and not far from entrance. Front desk set me up immediately. Room was large and clean. Fitness Center as one of the biggest in a hotel that I have seen. Buffet for dinner was expansive and pretty delicious. Bar was quaint. Sleep was peaceful. Overall price was around $100 a night. So, I have nothing bad to report. Great stay.

At first glance it was gonna be a wonderful stay , staff was friendly and very warm. The hotel is currently undergoing renovations needless to say due to overbooking some of the rooms under construction was opened for occupancy. My room unfortunately was one of them, after we returned to the room to retire I was found to have plastic particles and hardware on the bathroom floor, several outlets Did not work thinking I could stay in the room past this housekeep did a poor job. The room was stocked with a recycled book in which a child had written in with lipstick and nail polish. To add insult to injury I pulled back the covers to find more hardware under the covers and under the pillow. Me and my daughter were taken to another room in our pajamas. The next room the air conditioning was poorly functioning. During the conference I was there for I purchased a turkey wrap upon consuming I choked on a large hard object and the manager Becky directed me to another gentleman whom was not wearing a name badge and was on refunded for the meal. No incident report was taken on me choking on the wraps so an inspection could take place on the other foods items. And the guest bathrooms are horrible. Hopefully it will get better once renovations are complete.

Here is a list of problems experienced at this old and tired hotel. # 1 Old & Tired Chair Please look at the 2 photos posted to TripAdvisor showing how old, tired and pathetic room 366 chair is. It’s back is split open and the seat is bubbled and worn. # 2 Hotel Answering response Called in last night around 9pm to double check my reservation and had to wait 21 rings before getting a response. # 3 Front Desk Asked if I could please confirm a quiet room and was told that such an option was on a first come first served basis. I was needlessly initially routed to their 1-800 reservation system where I had to wait 5 minutes before ringing off because of no answer. # 4 Rude & Uncaring Staff Called in at 5pm 2 hours before checking in and received a non-caring robotic response advising that a quiet room would only be given upon check in on a first come first served basis. # 5 Check In No smile, monosyllabic questions/requests such as credit card and license without the word ‘please’. A bored expression from the front desk agent throughout the transaction and a weak smile when finishing. # 6 Room # 366 Inspect the room to find it’s desk chair ripped and bubbled. # 7 – TV Half the non HD tv channels are fuzzy and hard to watch with at least 6 channels showing nothing but fuzz. No you know the true story!

I never would have picked this as I find that IHG hotels are usually at the bottom of the quality list. This was no exception. Priced about $30 higher than other better hotels in the area. Access is on a little side road in a very heavily congested area south of the interstate. Tough getting in and out at times. The room itself was decent enough but the housekeeping was horrendous. Missing toiletries, only one drinking glass and shower could have used better cleaning. Looked like the maid was in a really big hurry to get in and out. And maintenance bad as well. The lower door hinge was completely unscrewed from the frame with a screw sticking out just waiting to stab someone.. For what I paid, I would have expected better. I am being generous giving this place a 3. Next time it will be the Marriott or Hilton.

Stayed here for the annual OAL Convention. The bathroom needed some serious attention. Red sequins stuck too shower wall, complimentary shampoo bottle empty and left in shower cubby, & shower curtain had so much mold on it that it could not have possibly been "overlooked" by cleaning crew but simply ignored......multiple times. The wall nearest to bed was stained (with what, one can only imagine). On a positive note, the bed was comfortable & staff very friendly.
