I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Chestnuts Boutique B&B! I was able to park up my car at the front of the establishment and walk around Bath for the rest of my visit! Attractions and places of interest were around a 15 minute walk away- which is fantastic! The host was so helpful and attentive. My room was clean and comfortable! I had access to plenty of wardrobe space,a TV with Netflix, a fridge, kettle and a well stocked box of tea treats (& fresh cakes too!) Breakfast was gorgeous and fresh. There were plenty of local leaflets available to read about local events and attractions too. Thank you very much!

Der Check-in-Bereich war sehr englisch und schön. Wir hatten ein klassisches Zimmer gebucht, wofür wir durch das Hauptgebäude, vorbei am Garten und in den zweiten Stock eines Stalls gehen mussten. Das Zimmer war recht sauber und das Badezimmer recht groß. Die Lage war jedoch etwas enttäuschend. Angesichts des hohen Preises und des hohen Ansehens des Hotels erwarteten wir vom Zimmer aus eine besonders schöne Aussicht auf die Stadt Bath. Die Realität war jedoch enttäuschend. Unser Blick ging auf die andere Straßenseite und wir trauten uns nicht, das Fenster zu öffnen. Der ältere, weiße, durch und durch englische Herr half uns mit unserem Gepäck, was es schwierig machte, kein Trinkgeld zu geben. Das Restaurant war ausgezeichnet und der Blumenkohl war besonders lecker. In solchen Hotels muss man ständig kommunizieren und Wünsche äußern; das können sie besser.

Ich möchte dem Personal für alles danken, was sie für mich und meine Frau getan haben, nachdem ich einen schrecklichen Fehler gemacht, der ist, um schämend zu gehen in ... Alles, was ich sagen kann, ist, dass sie buchstäblich sicher gemacht, dass ich nicht ablassen und die Zeit durch die Überschreitung und über alles, was sie tun mussten, um meinen Aufenthalt schön zu machen nach meinem Fehler ......Das Essen war wunderschön und auch alles war wie es in den Bildern war, wenn nicht besser etwas für sich selbst zu sehen, sollte man vorwärts gehen und einen Aufenthalt ....... buchen

The room was clean, cozy, and thoughtfully prepared with everything I needed. I especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere — it was the perfect place to relax after a long day. The location was also very convenient, close to local shops and attractions, yet quiet enough for a restful night’s sleep. Overall, this guesthouse offers comfort, warmth, and great hospitality. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming and comfortable place to stay.

The hotel is an incredible building which must take some maintenance. We booked a double room for one night and arrived at lunchtime with the intention of sightseeing in bath for a couple of days. The hotel was happy for us to park all day both days which was great. The check in process (after 3pm) was very easy and we had a very clean room with plenty of towels, 2 robes and slippers for the spa/pool. The double room had a king size bed which was very comfortable. The hotel pool was crowded and looking a little tired but was as expected. The outside heated pool was very nice and relaxing. We didn’t have any spa treatments or use the gym but both looked well kept and the gym had good modern equipment. We didn’t eat in the restaurant preferring to find a restaurant in bath itself. Breakfast was a bit of a chaotic affair with several hotel staff doing various jobs with no apparent coordination. The wait for a table, then coffee was long and then we had to wait again to order breakfast. The whole process of breakfast took well over an hour which is poor. It was clear that there was no clear process as some tables were getting their cooked breakfast before us even though we were taken to our table 30 mins before them. The little waiter man with his paper pad was a bit useless. When the ‘full English’ breakfast came it was a small plate of well cooked food but not really as described in the menu. In terms of portion size it was more like a kids breakfast. We weren’t served any toast either and had to ask for it unlike other tables who received it with their drinks order which seemed a bit weird. The continental buffet was a bit scarce with no bowls or spoons so we had to use our fruit juice glasses for the yogurt and fruit. The whole thing could be improved with a breakfast buffet under a hot plate if they haven’t got enough staff to serve it.

Amazing experience and great receptionist talking Spanish Eduardo and her Colleague from Chiclayo Perú(I don't remember the name, I am sorry) and the rest of colleagues has been very kind and helpful all the time. Of course I am going to recommend this hotel to my friends.

Die Lage ist nicht sehr bequem und nicht sicher, warum aber die Busse, die vor dem Hostel halten, nicht auf der Google-Karte oder Apple-Karte zeigen, so dass ich erst nach der Ankunft des Hostels fand dort direkt Busse. Aber statt Busse zu nehmen, empfehle ich sehr, ins Stadtzentrum zu gehen, da Sie durch ein wunderschönes Graslandfeld gehen. Das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig, gemütlich und ruhig. Sehr empfohlen!

Es war ein erstaunlicher Aufenthalt, dass ich hier mit einem wunderschönen Hydro Mills Maxine arbeitet, die meine Aufmerksamkeit beim Einchecken auf meine 3 Tage Aufenthalt nimmt. Gute Hotellage, wenn Sie Ihr eigenes Auto haben, weil es Parkplatz für die Kunden inbegriffen ist.

I am highly disappointed with our recent stay. We paid a premium price and the room we were given looked absolutely nothing like the bright, spacious photos advertised on their website. Our room was significantly smaller and darker. It also felt dated and rundown. To make matters worse, instead of any kind of decent view, our window looked directly out onto what appeared to be a backyard storage area filled with junk. It was depressing and certainly not what we shelled out a lot of money for. On the functional side, the room was poorly maintained. The towel rail didn't work, and the bathroom extractor fan was broken, which made the small bathroom space feel even more cramped and humid. The reception staff though was very friendly and helpful.

Stayed at Wentworth House for one night. The location was handy — only about a 6 or 7-minute taxi ride into the centre of Bath. Parking on site was free, which is always a bonus, though spaces were limited. The shower worked fine with good hot water, and at £120 a night for three people, the price wasn’t unreasonable for Bath. On the downside, the place is very dated and could do with some serious modernisation. Our room had a noticeable damp smell and the single-glazed windows didn’t help keep the room warm or quiet. I can’t comment on the food as we didn’t eat there, but overall, it’s an okay option if you just need somewhere for a night and aren’t too fussy — though a refresh would really lift the place.
