Blue Lagoon Beach Resort

Excellent place .

Just next to the beach. Just 10 steps then you can in the sea. The cabin a little bit, the bathroom not very clean.

Great location close to Sydney

Unfortunately for us we were given a 2 bedroom garden view cabin that was extremely run down and in need of a bulldozer. The first impression of the cabin was in poor condition and upon entering the cabin i was hit with a strong murky, mouldy odour which my family were unable to tolerate. The lounge room venetians were filthy, broken and gave little privacy. The dinted dishwasher was taped up with duck tape. The kids bunk room had an awful musky smell and was no bigger than the size of two toilet cubicles. The main room had the strongest mouldy smell, a dirty ancient looking ceiling fan with a dim light and the sliding door latch was seized and corroded. Throughout the cabin the door frames amd skirts were rotting and the flooring was loose, noisy and old. These cabins are deteriorating and well past their use by date. No 'standard' or' 'base' level cabin should be this unhygienic nor reflect the price they are still charged out at. The staff were able to refund the charges after i declined the option to outlay an additional cost to 'upgrade' to a newer built cabin. Pretty disappointing customers are expected to pay to holiday like this.

The location is amazing, beach access and views are great. The pool and spa are a good sized, spa was a good temperature but not quite spa temperature. The ocean view cabin we were in was dated/mid renovation, and was dirty. Stained sheets, leftover open milk in fridge, floors were dirty and scuffed, blinds had cigarette type holes in them, toilet sliding door was water damaged and didn’t close properly. Couch was filthy, TV remote not working properly. Grout filthy. It has potential with maintenance and a proper clean. Would come back for the views and resort feel but would appreciate a more comfortable stay if paying a decent amount of money and with the resort being half empty.

A positive was the reception welcoming and efficient. Our Caravan tight, to get the town all off the road back of our Caravan was pressed against the dirt wall. very uneven and very tight access. The amenities needed some maintenance for leaking taps, we had cold showers on both nights. WiFi that was not useable. As the caravan sights are $66 per night not value for money

Great spot but, make sure you have food for dinners as the kiosk is barely open and only has a set menu for breakfast and lunch - the same menu for both. Book a newer cabin, ours was the Garden View - whilst only a short stroll to the beach, we had sand all through our cabin on arrival, mould in the bathroom, not a very clean feeling when using any utensils and a very mouldy/old smell throughout. If we were to book again, I’d definitely be booking a newer ocean view cabin with all the odds and ends.

Beautiful Resort, great location plenty activities for the whole family and lovely friendly staff. Our cabin was lovely and clean with all the amenities you need and a lovely comfortable beds. Looking forward to our next stay :)

It saddens me to write this review (have written direct to resort but no response) as after many lovely stays at the Blue Lagoon over the last 20 years we have now experienced our first bad one. Our air conditioner would not work so my daughter went to reception where she was rudely accused of having the temperature on too low (we could not get it on let alone set a temperature!). The maintenance man was lovely and had it working and showed us how to reset it. Unfortunately after he left it continued to stop working even after restarting. It obviously needs replacing. We absolutely sweltered. The cabin was an old one with one small two seater sofa for a family of four. The pools were overcrowded which you would expect for a long weekend but children were running everywhere on the slippery tiles and pool bombing. For a busy weekend I really think there should be a pool guard - not much money to prevent a tragedy occurring. Having been to the resort so many times over the years I unfortunately know of one. With all of these issues I really think $632 per night was an absolute rip-off and will look elsewhere for accommodation next year.
