AC Hotel Irla

Acogedor hotel. No tiene habitaciones con camas individuales, son todas camas dobles.

Not what we expected We booked this hotel as it is now part of the Marriott chain. The hotel faces a restaurant that is open until 2am or later with seating outside. We did not get a good nights sleep after a long flight. Garbage trucks and motorcycles etc could be heard all night passing in front of the hotel/our room. The breakfast area is quite small maybe six small tables. The selection of food amounts to an extremely small continental breakfast. We asked the second morning and were able to get eggs ordered. There is no sign to indicate this is even possible. Our recommendation is to stay at a regular Marriott.

Overall, the hotel wasn't bad. However, the rooms have a funky layout. The best way I can think to describe it is that the bathrooms were an afterthought. Almost like they built the room and then said "dang, we forgot to add a bathroom." The bathroom is a glass-walled area where the door doesn't even make a complete seal. If you're sharing a room with someone, you'll hear every sound and smell every scent going on in the bathroom. The glass is also frosted, so you can see everyone's outline in the bathroom. Since the room is so small, it's hard to not "be in the bathroom" with the person actual in the bathroom. There are no very many outlets in these rooms either. There's an outlet on one side of the bed and then there's one by the desk where the coffee maker is plugged in. You have two additional outlets in the bathroom. I came here for my Marriott loyalty but would probably pick somewhere else next time.

Amazing staff at reception and on breakfast, so friendly! Lovely clean rooms, housekeeping don’t miss any requests! Rooms are a good size with comfy beds! Perfect location for walking everywhere :) lovely little gym with sauna! Would definitely come back!

Very nice hotel, in a very nice part of town. Short walk to beautiful areas and downtown. The hotel staff was incredible! Our room was a little small, but very quiet and comfortable. The health club had enough equipment to get a good workout in. Also, try the breakfast buffet, they will make a omelette for you if you ask.

Friendly welcome, convenient location, comfy bed, expansive hot breakfast, updated decor, nearby restaurants. A few more plugins would have been nice. Personally, I don't judge luxury in square feet, but if floor space is your thing, know the rooms are "efficient."
