I recently stayed at Myhotel CMYK @ Ratchada from 1st February, and I regret to say that it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. What was supposed to be a relaxing holiday turned into a series of stressful and disappointing events due to the hotel’s poor conditions and lack of customer service.
Upon checking in, I was horrified to find two dead cockroaches in the corner of the room. I informed the housekeeper, who removed them, but I didn’t think much of it at the time. However, when I returned to my room at 10:40 PM, I was greeted with an even more disturbing sight: multiple baby cockroaches crawling around the room.
I immediately went to the reception to request a room change, but I was told no other rooms were available. When I asked for a refund so I could book elsewhere, I was flatly rejected. The only solution they offered was to spray insect repellent to kill the cockroaches, which was completely unacceptable. Killing the cockroaches would not solve the underlying hygiene issue, and I could not possibly feel safe or comfortable staying in such a room.
After much back-and-forth, I was finally moved to an upgraded room at around 1am. However, even this room had issues: the bedsheet was stained, the floor was very dirty, and the shower drain was clogged. The next day, I was asked to move back to my original room, which added to the inconvenience and stress. When I spoke to the manager at the reception, they allowed me to stay in the upgraded room and promised a deep cleaning. While the deep cleaning improved the room’s condition, it was shocking that such measures were necessary in the first place.
On day 3, I experienced yet another issue. While showering, two bees came out from the side door, which was both alarming and dangerous. This incident added to my growing list of concerns and made my stay even more uncomfortable.
Throughout this ordeal, the hotel staff showed a complete lack of accountability and customer care. Despite my repeated requests for a refund or a proper resolution, I was met with indifference and excuses. The only person who tried to help was Monica G from Trip, who went above and beyond to assist me. Unfortunately, even her efforts were not enough to resolve the situation with the hotel.
This experience was far below the standard I expected from a hotel with a 4.3/5 rating. The lack of cleanliness, poor customer service, and refusal to take responsibility for the issues were shocking and unprofessional. I would strongly advise anyone considering this hotel to think twice before booking.
