Balvanyos Resort - Peakture Hotel & Grand Hotel Balvanyos

The big plus of this hotel is the location, gif and comfortable rooms in the new side af the hotel- Peakture. The services are quite average, but as usual, when there is sufficiency at the managerial level, on the principle of "that's how it goes", things will not move in the right direction, that is, towards delivering quality services at the level the price paid. For example, in the hotel restaurant, Peakture side, at the breakfast area, there is no toaster! Asking why they don't have something like that, the answer was disarming: there is not any demanding from the people! Some of the restaurant staff behave a bit like in a social canteen, they argue with you if you took a glass intended for tea and used it to drink juice! On the other hand, the pizza served is vers good. For the rest, breakfast, at an average level, of a guesthouse 2-3 star. The spa area is ok, in the adult area, a jacuzzi was non-functional, covered with a tarp, quite clean. The organization of the area is worse, for example, they did the maintenance of the children's area on a Wednesday, and all children and parents were directed that day, until 2:00 p.m., to the adult area, the place that became at one point unbearable. The Secuian sauna is very good, the small "shows" from 19.00 being very appreciated (Laszlo very good) especially on the chosen music (AC/DC). In conclusion, a very nice place, with a lot of potential, overshadowed by services that do not match the asking price and the level of hotel (4*).

I do not recommend! the policy of not allowing families with children to enter the spa, but only at the kids friendly spa, this is not mentioned, when I booked no one told me this, but I paid for the room for 2 adults and 1 child, poor breakfast with poor quality food, the cleanliness in the room is non-existent, the staff very arrogant, only those at the restaurant were very ok, the cleanliness in the whole hotel leaves much to be desired, dirty doors, dirty mirrors, cobwebs all over the balcony. in addition to all this, they had a problem with the water, it didn't work for a whole day, I tried to call the manager 4 times, they said to announce to come, he didn't bother to come and talk. is below any 4 stars mentioned, I will not recommend to anyone. there are bears outdoors, so you can't walk, why would I come back here? why would you come here?

Beautiful quiet location (if the works in the neighborhood would finish). The parking lot should be improved a little and the staff should park their cars not right in front of the hotel and leave their seats to the customers(not professional at all). Being the first time here, I didn't know exactly where I could leave the car, when I asked the receptionist, he replied phlegmatically that if I couldn't find a place, he would move his personal car, So I had to leave the car near the animal stables and carry all my luggage through the snow to a hotel that tends to be pretentious, this was my welcome to this hotel. Unprofessional and poorly educated staff, at least at the reception. For the rest, the rooms are quite clean, they clearly need more attention to cleanliness, they are quite small. The spa center is very crowded and an indescribable noise, you can't find a place to sit down,I don't understand why they give access to so many people when there is clearly no room. The Fork restaurant is a pleasant place, nicely arranged, tasty food, decent service. Overall something nice can be done here with good management, but until then it remains an overrated place
