Mount Wolseley Hotel Spa & Golf Resort

Right so this hotel is beautiful the rooms the bar the spa - but the best element of this hotel are the people !! The team at Mt Wolseley are incredible from the front desk to room service I would rate the employees as 5 star people who care about their patrons. A special mention to Sinead at Front of House and Niamh a manager who came to meet me as I travelled from cork alone and they knew I was after a long long drive and still hadn’t arrived so they guided me in from the M9 and met me at a service station at 12pm at night !!!! To guide me to Tullow so caring and so kind and for the rest of my stay so friendly and so caring to all I saw them deal with including patrons and colleagues alike this hotel should be rated 5 stars for its employees alone - fabulous

A last minute decision to take a night away was a great one..We were greeted with a warm smile and welcome from the receptionist Miriana who quickly checked us in, we had a small problem with the room which Miriana quickly sorted and gave us a beautiful suite which looked over the golf course..she was so pleasant to deal with..after a lovely walk around the parameter of the course through woodland which was beautiful we called into the Aaron lounge for a drink and again lovely staff and quick service..we sat outside and was happy watching the world go by..the cleanliness everywhere was great and the bed was so comfortable with big fluffy white towels and a lovely big tv.. Breakfast the next morning was fab, more food and choice you could ever need. A wonderful stay and will definitely return and have already recommended it to friends and family..

We really enjoyed our stay in the Mount Wolsey and would give it a full 5/5 had it not been for a few things. All staff are wonderful to deal with. Our room was beautiful; modern, clean and big with very comfy beds and a lovely bathroom. All food was delicious, compliments to all the chefs. I particularly enjoyed breakfast and it was one of the best hotel breakfasts I have had. Spa is fabulous with an amazing thermal area. A lovely, friendly lady with blonde hair (sorry I didn’t get her name), showed me around prior to my treatment and that was a nice touch. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and you can enjoy nice walks around. All facilities are first class and it is a bright, clean, modern and welcoming hotel. Unfortunately we found the hotel to be chilly. The bar area was chilly, as was the foyer and upstairs in the gallery. Not comfortable to sit in. We had two issues with our package. Firstly, we were charged the full amount for afternoon tea although our package allowed us to have 5 euro off each. Also, the afternoon tea is now €40 even though on the website and all advertisements for it, it says €36 euro. Our package allowed us to have a full four-course dinner. When my husband went to pay the bill we were told our package was only for mains and we were charged for everything else. Upon double checking the email back in room, we were correct, it was a 4-course dinner package. Little things like this definitely need to be addressed.

Amazing hotel, we hace visited about 10 times. Our fav hotel, staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Rooms are beautiful and very comfy, live the new beds, bathrooms and coffee maker plus an iron and ironing board. Dinner and breakfast was delicious, we had a hot stone massage and used the thermal pool..fantastic. Only one thing, we stayed in room until 12pm and nobody came later to service the room. I had to get towels, milk, teabags, toilet roll of the cart in the corridor. It didnt ruin our stay and we want to return for 3 nights nxt time..beautiful area with do much to do and see.

Quality at Mount Wolseley. As regular guests of Mount Wolseley we are always impressed by the continued upgrades to the quality of service throughout. The bedrooms are always clean and comfortable. The food for both buffet breakfast and dinner in Frederick's restaurant is consistently delicious and of a high standard. Compliments to Dave and his team in the kitchen. Kathy and her well trained front of house team are always professional & friendly. A special mention to our waitress Zoe and bar staff Amber. Thanks for another enjoyable stay folks.

One of the nicest experiences I have ever had. From check in with the lovely Podge (so friendly and helpful .. Giving us an early check in,)to the stunning and clean rooms to the amazing food in the restaurant. An absolute delight of a hotel with incredible friendly and helpful staff

I spent a very pleasant time in Mount Wolseley last month. A fabulous hotel. The staff are exceptional and so welcoming and very well trained in all aspects of their different jobs. This is my 5th time over many years - there will be more! Thank you

Me and my wife had a very enjoyable stay in the hotel last month. Food and hotel facilities excellent. What made our stay memorable was the staff customer service. In particular the outstanding customer service we recieved from tony melay on the reception team. Tony was brilliant to us from the moment we entered the hotel. Gorgeous location, friendly staff, a special mention to Sorcha and Lorraine in the Restaurant who looked after us so well for my sisters birthday last night. Aaron in the bar lovely young man thanks for your help with the drinks and the lift. Tara and Michelle in the spa thank you for the wonderful experience we will be back.
