Dreams Bahia Mita Surf & Spa - All Inclusive

We went to Dreams as party of a large wedding party. Pros: staff is very friendly and will help you however they can. Security was excellent helping out with wheelchairs. Amstar people were also wonderful in transportation. 4th floor coffee shop was a great benefit. Cons: 1. Serious lack of elevators cause very long walks wherever you need to go. My parents requested a handicap room and were put in a room on the far end of the resort, where nothing was close. We ended up paying $700 just to move them to a room that was closer to an elevator. 2. If you book a ‘Tropical View’ room, you will either get a view of the employee parking lot or of the construction of the adjacent new property. Both sides were incredibly unsightly and unappealing to look at/wake up to. 3. Cleanliness. We travel internationally a good bit and this was the first resort where used dishes and wet towels sat around the resort and weren’t immediately picked up. 4. Pool could use a chiller. The water was just as hot as the air temp outside providing zero relief. We absolutely love the south side of Puerto Vallarta and will be back- we just won’t stay on the north end of the city or this resort again.

Amazing trip! The waiters were amazing and the food was excellent. Rousse and Salvador were amazing helping us. Also Omar, Danny and Angel were very helpful as well! Excellent service and concierge service! Will definitely come again and had an awesome time!!

Beautiful clean safe! A little far from the downtown Malecon but the luxury and posh feel of the resort makes up for it. The staff is amazing. Good entertainment and excellent food and drinks. Views are amazing. Loved our experience there! Would definitely go back.

Horrible place. Don't fall for any of the "presentation" scams they offer. They will cheat you and not provide what they offer to waste your time and sit thru their scam presentation. As far as the resort...feels like your on an oversold cruise ship. It's a comnpound and you are locked in until you pay the full bill with all scams included. went in 2022 with wife and two kids.

View from the room was pretty. Beach was walkable, not swimmable. High tide covered the entire beachfront early morning and evening. No drink service on the family side of the beach and no food service at the beach or by the pool. Only drinks. As for food, we follow a plant-based diet. Waiters tried their best to be accommodating but the options offered were minimal at best. We personally wouldn’t return but it’s a good option for younger families with open diets and larger groups.

We got invited to a wedding here so we came for support of our friends. We thought this was going to be a very luxurious resort because of the name brand and price tag. When we arrived we realized you cannot eat at all the restaurants on property unless you have the VIP access to the secrets dining… it’s annoying but we got that for free when we went to the timeshare meeting. Our second night there, the AC goes out in our room and the room got up to 85* F at 11pm. We were gaslit by the man who came to try to fix it and told us that our AC was working fine… we were SWEATING and the floor in our room was slippery because of the humidity. Over an hour later it was fixed and worked the rest of our stay which was good. The last night we were there was our friend’s wedding. There was “security” on staff for the wedding that let in some wedding crashers. My husband and a bridesmaid go tell this couple (who made it all the way to the dance floor) that they needed to leave because they were entering a private event. After the couple walks out, my husband tells security they let in some crashers. 15 minutes later my husband walks towards the exit of the party (but doesn’t exit) and is ATTACKED from behind by the male wedding crasher!! My husband was punched in the face by a guest from Dreams (at this point should be called nightmares) that should’ve been watched by security the first time they’re asked to leave the party. The hotel staff did call the police and have this couple escorted off the property but this could’ve been completely avoided had the security for the wedding actually been doing their job!! Then the next morning at checkout we were reminded to leave a good review for the hotel. Absolutely not!! My husbands face is now swollen and tooth is broken. Did they offer us ANY type of compensation? NO!! Never again will I stay at a Dreams/Secrets and any of my friends getting married in the future I will tell them to STAY AWAY FROM ALL HYATT PROPERTIES!!! This Dreams Hotel doesn’t cause any good dreams, only horrible NIGHTMARES!

We had stayed at this hotel back in 2021 when it first opened and it was still a little clunky on service. The hotel is now amazing ! There is a generous offering of restaurants and cafes and they are situated very conveniently around the hotel. The service was also highly professional and speedy . Our kids ate at the world cafe and we loved the convenience of the buffet but also the variety of healthy options and high quality dishes. The water slides are awesome and they manage them tightly to ensure the safety of the guests. We also left our fussy 7 and 10 year old at the adventure club for 2 days for a few hours and they loved it ! A shout out to Sophia and the ladies that worked the day shift . They are kind and engaging. They care and want the kids to genuinely have a good time. It’s better than any camp experience we have had back home because the counselors are doing their job with love. We highly recommend trying the bread ! I know it sounds silly but the bread and pastries are delicious and made daily . One of the best I have ever had. They make the carb load worth it. Also the Latte at the Mita Cafe is world class. My husband is a surfer and the convenience of the beach is a big draw as it has a great wave if you just walk in and paddle out a bit. Maybe the only con I would mention is that they upsell the cabanas and surrounding sun-beds which feels cheap, but I get it . Around the baby pool and younger children pool they should provide “free” sun-beds because parents can’t sit on the top deck and watch the kids to ensure their safety. Other than that kink, I loved my experience and my kids are already asking when will we back. I highly recommend this hotel.

This was such an incredible family vacation experience! Dreams truly does make dreams come true. Our kids had the best time ever-from family pools, kids-centric activities to an amazing kids' club they didn't want to leave! For any surfers looking at this hotel, it is not to miss! An incredible surf break is right at your back door!

We had a great time at Dreams Bahia Mita, me and my wife got married here on October 5th, 2024. Our wedding coordinator Ximena Gomez was absolutely amazing, the wedding was everything we could've dreamed for and more. She was really helpful and attentive; she outdid herself for sure. The resort itself was absolutely beautiful, had great pools, and many restaurants to choose from. The food itself was very good, it really exceeded my expectations from the usual "resort food". The water park was one of my favorite parts, it had 3 slides, coke floats, ice cream and snack bites I did not want to leave. I cannot forget about the speak easy inside the sports bar, it's pretty much a mini night club, they played all the bangers it was so much fun. Overall, we had an amazing experience and would absolutely recommend to anyone, and for anybody who is planning on having a wedding here Ximena is your girl.
