This hotel looked magical and beautiful. Unfortunately upon arrival, it was filthy. The bedrooms unfurnished. The footprints and hair from previous guests were visible everywhere. The rooms, which we asked for upgrades to see other options were not cleaned at all. The restaurant had very limited food options. This place was a 3hr drive from the airport and was absolutely disappointing. I don't recommend anyone book this location anytime soon. This hotel is not ready for guests and still massively under construction and not ready to host anyone.

DO NOT BOOK THIS PLACE It's full of mosquitoes, you'll get all bitten up on your first day. The place smells moldy. And worst of all, there was still footprints from the guests before us. This place is not clean I would not recommend this for anyone.

Loved this quaint property in the middle of nowhere.. it’s picture perfect .. we had a lagoon facing room and it was just gorgeous with a lovely view. Wake up early to see the beautiful sunrise and to do kayaking. It’s an heavenly experience .. in the evening watch the sun set .. the restaurant at the resort serves good food. We enjoyed all the meals we had there .. will surely visit again if I ever travel to Mexico

I found this place online, and it was a good choice; the staff Adrian y Julieta were super nice and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located near el centro of Bacalar, which makes it easy to explore and visit the different restaurants there. This place is perfect for a family to enjoy all the beauty of the lagoon but at the same time enjoy all the amenities the hotel has to offer; a/c, smart tv, wifi, access to kayaking and paddle boards. Overall would highly recommend.

The hotel is an excellent place to unwind and center yourself with mother nature again. location is great, 10-minute drive to 7 colors lagoon, and to the town where you can do shopping. Make sure you take mosquito repellent if you are going to eat at the restaurant during the night, the ceviche and aguachilies are to die for here... They have paddleboards, kayaks, and bikes for you to use at no additional cost. Staff members are fantastic.

Beautiful and magical. The place is in the outside of Bacalar not too far from the town. It’s about a 10min drive from downtown. It has a beautiful restaurant and the lagoon is magical. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is in the middle of the jungle so be prepared to see random animals all over the place. The it’s well worth it.

I enjoyed this property. It’s about 5-10 minutes out of town so a car is advised. The property is well maintained and beautiful. I wish I had more time to explore everything they had available. My room and balcony were lovely and very peaceful. I think the price is a bit high unless you can take advantage of everything they provide like bikes and kayaks. I went to the restaurant twice and although I really wanted to like it based on prior reviews, I did not. I had the shrimp tacos and although the shrimp was cooked perfectly, the chef puts a lot of cream sauces (two types), and melted cheese on them. It was overpowering. If I ordered them again, I would ask them to leave the melted cheese off and ask for the sauces on the side. The next day, I had chicken enchiladas salsa Verde, and it was literally served in a soup bowl because there was so much salsa Verde. They were also cold. I was very disappointed. I wouldn’t eat there again which is a shame, because the outdoor restaurant is lovely.

Great experience, very relaxing, Ideal for spending several days and forget about everything! We just spent a couple of days but wish we had reserved more days for Bacalar, the town is quaint and offers a small hotels/restaurants, very different from Cancun.

The concept is to have all the confort from your own apartment in the middle of the manglar. And it does succeed. Bacalar Lagoon is beautiful but off course it can be a challenge if you are not used to mosquitos, heat, etc. Normally it takes some time to adapt to those changes in climate. If you are there for a few days then MBH solves that for you by giving you top notch rooms in the midst of it. How they set it up is also very nice. Every building has 4 apartments or Rooms and shares a hot tube and steam bath on the roof. Then all apartments share the Docks and the Restaurant. The restaurant is by the way VERY VERY GOOD! The Lagoon speaks for itself! Magic!
