Hôtel la Muette

這是一家在當地非常受歡迎的酒店，很有特色。店員非常友善，到達前想提醒我們停車事宜，因為我們在郵輪上手機沒有信號，在打不通電話後又讓攜程打給我，仍舊聯繫不到我後再發郵件給我詳細説明如何入城，以及如何停車。非常感動和感謝她們。酒店就在古城裡麪，裝修得極其有特色，我們都很喜歡。我們離開時，她們在門口的橄欖樹下采摘果實，很美好的場景！

Lovely, characteristic hotel with very friendly staff who go out of their way to be helpful! Great location! Room was small but well laid out with coffee, tea and a large bottle of water. Stone detailing on wall and a very nice bathroom. Would absolutely recommend!

Wonderful, charming hotel in the centre of the old town. Well situated, and parking was possible 6 minutes walk away just by the Montee Vauban. The room was large for an old building, and - until we had a thunderstorm and power cut - the air conditioning was fine. Highly recommended.

A very nicely remodelled old building. All bare stone walls and huge wooden beams. Excellent WiFi. A safe (though not anchored) and a fridge in the room. Comfortable bed. Excellent AC. There is a small terrace with tables and chairs in front. Location is central. The door to our room was quite a struggle, though looks great, in keeping with the style of the interior. The stairs is awkward to navigate, especially with luggage. There isn’t a lift. The bathroom door didn’t shut, so little privacy. We got a good night's sleep the first night. Less so the second night because an alarm kept going off nearby. The street was pretty quiet, certainly after 22:30 both nights. There was a load of unsightly rubbish at the bins across the street, directly across from our room window. The binmen arrived around 07:30 on the second morning, which is fair enough. But for some reason they didn’t clear all the rubbish.

Perfect location (close to both the center of Arles and the Roman arena and theater), friendly and helpful staff, and a fun, quirky, ancient building, with stone-walled rooms and stairs that, Escher-like, seem to go up and down at the same time. (The man at the desk explained to me that the building is actually two structures cobbled together – a 12th century part and a 16th century part. My room was in the new wing: 16th century!) A sweet place to stay in delightful Arles, and nicer than its two-star classification would suggest. Highly recommended.

We were very disappointed in the rooms of this hotel. It was misrepresented online. We arrived 2 weeks ago in the evening and the staff was very communicative before our arrival. Julie was responsive via emails and helped us into town to unload the car with our belongings. We trekked up the narrow and unique spiral staircase to the top floor where our room was hot and musty. There was not a lot of room for our clothes as we were 3 staying for 4 nights. We turned on the AC and before we could ask questions or try to settle in I had to move my car as I could not park in the walled city. By the time I returned. Julie had left for the evening and my wife was not happy with the room. The man who was at the desk became unfriendly when he realized we were not satisfied with the room. It was not cooling off and it was not what the pictures portrayed. This is not a 3 star hotel. I would say it's like the equivalent of a super 8 or motel 6 in the U.S.. It was very plain with instructions for your stay hanging from the bottom of a small television in a corner. The 1/4 size fridge was on the floor under a small desk. The rustic walls were water stained in a non pleasant way. We ended up leaving and finding alternative accommodations within 2 hours of our arrival. We had tried to go through the 3rd party (who we booked with) but was unsuccessful, because they explained that it would be up to the hotel to refund any or partial payment. The hotel did not offer alternate rooms or even a partial refund as we did not stay any of the nights there. When we finally got an email from the owner they were not helpful and when we called the evening before they said to call in the morning. The only thing I can say for this hotel is that it is in a great location (the hotel we ended up at was close by).

We had a bit of a problem with our room being on the main floor and facing the street. We like to sleep with the windows open a bit and being on the main floor made this uncomfortable for us. Since we were staying for a week, we asked if we could have a room on a higher floor. Since we prefer a room with two beds, The only room available was not great, but we managed. There are very nice rooms at the hotel, but #12 was not one of them, in our opinion. The breakfast was very nice with a lovely selection of baked goods, meat, cheese, fruit, delicious homemade yoghurt etc.. something for everyone! Hotel La Muette has a great central location, close to restaurants and local attractions. All the staff at the hotel were kind, helpful and professional. They also helped us with great restaurant suggestions. If our travels ever take us back to Arles, we would stay at Hotel la Muette. We would just be more careful with our room choice and location! Lovely little hotel right in the historic heart of Arles yet in a quiet corner. Perfect location if you’re arriving by bus or train - as we were. The staff are very welcoming and make a special effort including offering to take luggage up to the room. We arrived several hours early and Julie moved reservations around so we could get check-in. She didn’t have to do that as we only hoped to leave or luggage. The bedroom was lovely - basic but with rough-hewn stone walls in keeping with the history of the building. Breakfast was fine. I left a beret in a neighbouring restaurant and they (Sylvie) retrieved it for me and posted it to me. Great experience and great service!
