My wife and I stayed 3 nights arriving at 4PM after being met at the TNR Airport. A nice receptionist with decent English copied our passports as the card payment was automatically processed. Another really good English speaking receptionist collected our key cards and escorted us up one of the 3 elevators to the 3rd floor. Room #303 was a perfect Radisson solution to travel, with all necessary items of a 5 star; robes, slippers, large fluffy towels, very comfortable queen with great pillows and duvet, large TV with excellent satellite reception(BBC + 19 other channels), upholstered bench, cushioned chairs, welcome tray(cookies, grapes & candy), 2 designer waters with coffee, cream and chocolate. A costly 6:30AM buffet breakfast or a la carte selections were available at the lobby restaurant. We bought muesli, yogurt, milk, bananas and nuts at the nearby Waterfront Center Shoprite, had lunch at the KFC and at the sister Radisson’s Tamboho Restaurant. I used the upscale 8 station gym and saw the small pool and the Fire Court Restaurant, all with 8th floor city views. We scheduled daily trips with hotel-arranged drivers in Peugeot cars: -50km circuit north to Royal Hill of Ambohimanga($45). -58km circuit south to La Haute Ville d’ Antananarivo Palace, churches and Lemur’s Park($72).

If you wanna find a very very good hotel in the capital of Madagascar, just choose this. Staff is really friendly, huge and clean rooms, I like the make-up mirror, delicious breakfast. For dinner we chose well prepared zebu& tried the local THB beer. Price of the alcool was ok.

Das Hotel ist als Business-Hotel und als Ausgangs- und Endpunkt für Reisen in das Land perfekt gelegen, auch durch seine Nähe zum Flughafen. Die Atmosphäre im Hotel, den Service und die Küche kann man nur als herausragend bezeichnen. Die Einrichtung des Hotels und der Zimmer unterstreicht diese wohltuende Atmosphäre gekonnt und unaufgeregt. Die Mitarbeiter sind durchweg sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und verstehen es, dem Gast das Gefühl zu vermitteln, er sei persönlich willkommen.

Wir haben hier zweimal mit ein paar Tagen zwischen uns geblieben. Unser erstes Aufenthalt war großartig! Die Zimmer sind schön, geräumig und sauber. Das Restaurant war geschlossen, aber die Außenbar servierte schöne Speisen (nur 2 Veggie-Optionen), obwohl ein wenig laut und kalt (sie gab uns Kleidung, als wir fragten). Unser zweiter Aufenthalt war schrecklich! Wir hatten zwei Zimmer gebucht, aber sie sagten, wir hatten nur eine. Wir mussten mehrere Stunden in der Rezeption warten, um das zu sortieren ohne Entschuldigung von der Mitarbeiter. Als wir heraus kamen, sagten sie, sie haben das Geld nicht von lastminute.com erhalten und baten uns, wieder zu zahlen. Ich habe Belege für die Zahlung gezeigt, aber sie sagten, sie hätten es nicht, so wollten sie mich zahlen. Ich weigerte mich! Sie baten mich, lastminute.com zu rufen, um die Zahlung an sie zu sortieren. Ich erläuterte, dass alles am Ende komplett war und dass sie es mit dem Touristenbetreiber nicht mit mir sortieren konnten. Auch auf unserem zweiten Aufenthalt war das Essen schrecklich - das Zebu-Filet war völlig unsauerbar. Als wir dem Personal gesagt haben, dass sie dieses Problem nicht einmal anerkennen.

Good hotel, spacious rooms, very large bathrooms, very professional and courteous staff, many amenities including spa, gym, steam room, conveniently located in the administrative center. Breakfast is good quality-wise. Having said that, breakfast is repetitive, everyday the same thing, they should at least make the effort of changing something from time to time; wifi does not work so well; decor is a bit old style and equipment does not seem to be so functional; room cleaning service could be better and more consistent.

Spent our last night in Madagascar at the Centell. Room was big and comfortable but we had some annoying issues that were unexpected from a supposed ”luxury” hotel. Only 1 towel in the room and no hand towel. The safe battery was flat so our valuables were locked in after I tested it and left for dinner. The shower leaked water out onto the bathroom floor soaking the bathmat as the fall on the tiles in the shower did not direct water into the drain. The dinner at the Goa restarant was disappointing. My main course was weird with a crispy fried inedible chicken ball and ghee laden rice. The starter was fine thankfully. My husband's vegetable biryiani was bland. I asked for a glass of red wine with my meal but was told I could only order a bottle! But they have a bar upstairs so could surely have asked for one to be brought down. Disappointing. Service was SO much better in all the lodges we stayed in during the rest of our trip as they went out of the way to make everything special for my 60th birthday. Breakfast in the morning was much better with a great choice and lots of fresh fruit and yoghurt.

Das Hotel Le Grand Melllis Antananarivo ist ein 3-Sterne-Hotel. Ich habe am 13. September 2019 in Zimmer 209 geblieben. Das Hotel befindet sich in einem besetzten Stadtzentrum und wurde renoviert. Eintritt ins Hotel ist durch eine Glastür. Die Lobby ist klein. Das Rezeptionpersonal ist freundlich, hilfsbereit und kann mit einiger Schwierigkeit in Englisch kommunizieren, aber der Service ist unterstandard. Ich habe sehr aktive saubere Mädchen, die die Reinigung tun, bemerkt. Sie sind extrem freundlich und arbeiten sehr hart. Das Zimmer ist ein wenig eng, aber vernünftig eingerichtet. Das Zimmer hat keine Aussicht und befindet sich oben der Hotelküche. Das Zimmer ist voller Geruch, der aus der Küchenausladung freigelassen wurde. Ich konnte das Zimmer nicht ändern, weil das Hotel vollständig reserviert wurde. Das Zimmer verfügt über einen kleinen Kühlschrank und eine Minibar. Es hat auch eine geteilte Klimaanlage, ich bin nicht sicher, ob es funktioniert oder nicht. Toilette wird mit einem Duscheschrank renoviert und Hotel gekennzeichnete Handtücher. Sie erhalten auch zwei kostenlose 500ml Wasserflaschen pro Tag. Das Hotel verfügt über ein Geschäftszentrum, einen Fitnesscenter und einen Massage-Parlor und einen neuen Glaslift. Sie werden erwartet, für das Frühstück zu bezahlen. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist klein, was für ein solches kleines Hotel erwartet wird. Es umfasst Bohnen, Nüsse und Fisch. Salat und sehr scharfe Auswahl von Käse. Muesli, Trauben, Nüsse und Joghurt. Brot, Krusten und Kuchen. Getränke enthalten Saft, Kaffee und Tee. Das Buffet ist mannig, was mich ein wenig unbehaglich machte. Ich möchte meine eigene Nahrung ohne jemanden zu mir zu haben, während ich meine Nahrung nehmen. Zusammenfassend finden Sie die meisten der Einrichtungen, die Sie in einem 5-Sterne-Hotel in kleinerer Größenordnung finden oder vielleicht schüchtern. Es ist für Haushaltsreisende geeignet, die nicht sehr gemütlich sind und für Geschäftsleute und Berufsgruppen geeignet sind.

My stay here was a wonderful experience. The hotel was exceptionally clean and quiet, providing a perfect environment for relaxation. The staff were incredibly helpful and welcoming, making me feel right at home. One highlight of my stay was the shower—it had excellent water pressure and was always nice and hot. We also enjoyed playing a game of pool at the end of a day. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there and would definitely stay again. Highly recommended!

A centrally located hotel in mid city centre. It has an indoor pool and SPA. Rooms are comfortable with all basic amenities being provided. It has a coffee shop and restaurant which serve multicuisine. Staff are welcoming, polite and professional. Would like to make a special mention of Vanessa F&B Manager who gave a personal touch during my stay catering to my vegetarian food preference and looking after other guests. Liliana at the Front office was very supportive catering to my requests.
