Hotel Cruzeiro

I'll give it 3 stars for one main reason - humidity in the rooms. Yes, it is logical to be humid in a place like the Azores, but not in a 4-star hotel, which otherwise well deserves its rating here. We have been on daily hikes and it took us a while with the help of a hair dryer to dry our shoes and clothes. Otherwise, they would never dry and our plans would have been spoilt. Other than that, the rooms are nice and spacious and the hotel is nice overall. A special mention goes to the housekeeping team. They provide 5-star service. Our clothes were folded and hung in the wardrobe, and the cleaning was simply impeccable. They really deserve a special mention here! The location is also cool, just a short walk to downtown and a quick ride out of the town to explore the beautiful Terceira. Breakfast could have had a bit more choices to justify the 4 stars, but the basics are covered. Good for cake lovers (which I am not lol, but my partner thoroughly enjoined). I would probably look for something else next time purely for humidity in the rooms.

Great hotel, good location with very friendly and accommodating staff. Rooms were clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the bathroom linens passed the 'towel test' (Lol). Breakfast was very adequate with something for everyone, although the coffee left much to be desired. There are also two great little markets 2 blocks away in each direction. And there are many restaurants within walking distance as well. The only negative we had is that there is no insulation in the room or walls and people walking & talking in the hallway sounded like they were in your room. There is also a fire station located next door & you could hear their sirens quite clearly in your room with windows closed tight and also hear people walking & talking on the street in front of the hotel & even the music from the interior of cars driving by. I suppose if you lived there, or in any large city, you would be accustomed to this. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Angra and we would stay here again.

Excellent service Superb room 124, great room and what a good shower. Very good breakfast Staff at reception and breakfast counter ... 5* Loved the hotel decor eso the corridors. Very well presented. Very clean and adequate. Well done! Highly recommended

I stayed for three nights at the Hotel Cruziero. The bed and room were very comfortable and met my expectations. The decor of the room and the hallway leading to my room.was surprising. The hallway was like walking through a forest. Pictures of dense forest trees decorated both walls, accented with green lights. Inside the room, above my bed, the wall was decorated with colorful leaves. It was a refreshing change from a normal hotel room. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very plentiful, and very good. Lots of free parking was available. The hotel is located in walking distance of downtown near very good restaurants. I did wish that there was a restaurant open in the evening at the hotel for the night that I arrived back at the hotel late. For a traveler, like me, who spends most of his time, sightseeing and taking pictures, this hotel provided a comfortable restful night before restarting my adventures

exceptional experience for me at cruzeiro hotel in mid-sept 2022. i had hopes but zero expectations that i might be able to check in a BIT early (like an hour or 2) after my redeye flight landed at 8am. when i arrived, i just asked if there was somewhere i could sit to charge my phone and rest for a while since i expected to have to entertain myself for several hours before i could check in; i was shocked that the man working said he'd see if my room was ready for checkin right then. (i've traveled a lot but never had anyone suggest that i might be able to get into my room a whole 7 hours before official checkin!!). it ended up being ready within a couple of hours which was SO nice after an exhausting cross-country redeye. room was so clean and comfy and well-furnished. price for the room is also incredible given the quality of the hotel and location. my only minor complaints were that the electrical outlets were super hard to access. i had to climb under the table to plug in to charge my phone as someone else mentioned about room 128, room 127's bathroom is not for very tell people. i'm only 5'6" and my knees would hit the shower wall when sitting at the toilet nice to have a minifridge but for people who hang up clothes, the fridge blocked the ability to open the closet doors and actually use the closet (not an issue for me)

Had an early check in do to early flight, very accommodating. Wonderful staff, great service, good breakfast, clean comfortable rooms and good location. Stayed there with 15 others all enjoyed. Catia at the front desk was fabulous.
