The Valley Resort's rooms are large, and each has an attached sun room. Electric heaters came in handy. The charismatic owner Sangye and his staff were helpful. The meals were very good, with the addition of locally grown items including produce, honey and jam. Good location from which to explore the Bumthang area.

Very large room with veranda adjacent to the room providing extra space, but very cold at the time of our visit as it was not heated (same for the bath room). We appreciated the hospitality and enthusiasm of the owner. They have some great home made jam which we continued to enjoy when back home. It is some 5 kms from town so when the day tour is over, you remain in the hotel.

The Valley resort hotel in Bumthang is a clean and cozy hotel with spacious rooms. The owner Sangey is very friendly and hospitable while his wife who manages the kitchen serves excellent home cooked meals using vegetables and fruits that are grown in their gardens. The hotel is in a quiet location being a little away from the town center allowing one to enjoy the peace and tranquility of Bumthang.z

We were a group of three friends traveling with guide and driver and made this our base for three nights and pleasant days exploring the area. Found the house, rooms and meals just fine. No noise from neighbors or dogs. Pleasant all around and a great center for exploration.

We stayed here as part of a group during our visit to Bumthang. The host, Sangay, was so friendly and kind and went out of his way to make sure that we had a positive experience. He even grows a lot of his own fruits and vegetables and uses them in the meals and drinks here. The rest of the staff here were amazing as well. I would definitely stay here again!
