Ibis Styles Annemasse Genève

J’ai beaucoup aimé l’hôtel, l’équipe était de une gentillesse en croyable. Le petit déjeuner était vraiment délicieux et frais et la dame qui s’occupe de ça était vraiment très gentille. Grand merci. À bientôt

The very helpful staff and delicious breakfast got this hotel an extra star from me. The first room we were given had a dirty, dated bathroom, dirty windows and dirty looking curtains. A plug was hanging off the wall. The very attentive and apologetic young woman on reception came and inspected the room and immediately gave us another room that had clearly been renovated. It was clean and with comfortable beds, although the carpet needed cleaning, as with all the communal areas of the hotel that we saw. There was free wifi but it was unreliable. At 21h there was very loud hammering coming from below, where a restaurant was apparently being renovated. The same receptionist immediately went next door to talk to the builders and the noise stopped. I thought she was very brave, at no more than 1m 60, if that! There was a coach party in the dining room at breakfast next day and staff were struggling to wash crockery and cutlery to keep up with needs but they did a great job and kept appearing with more fresh fruit, delicious cheeses, lovely breads, boiled eggs, and all with a smile. The hotel is in a run down area and we felt we needed to use their parking at an extra cost but it is next to a tram stop, so convenient for Geneva, and there is a supermarket and bakery nearby. Staff were all friendly and endlessly helpful in dealing with shortcomings that are obviously no fault of their own. I hope Ibis Hotels appreciates them.

This Ibis Styles is centrally located in Annemass. It is a short 10 minute walk from the train station and the shopping areas of Annemass. Alternatively it is a short 5 minute walk to the nearest tram stop which will also take you to central Geneva in 20 minutes. To enter the hotel you walk through the car park to the small reception. There is a pleasant seating area within and some facilities to make tea/coffee and to heat up food. The check-in was friendly and efficient by the staff member on duty. But no welcome drink as anticipated but I did request it later. Upon going to the room the smell of damp carpet/ dog? was strong in the hall. Luckily this did not continue in the room and was gone by the evening. The room was a good size with a standard bed and additional single bed. There was a half couch which I imagine turned into another single bed. However, the room was not up to the standard of the many Ibis I have stayed in. The decor is far from 'Styles' standard and the brown walls and carpeting do not appear well. The room suffered from extreme wear and tear. The carpet, walls and furnishings were stained. The extra duvet on the single bed was used to drape over the couch as the fabric was appalling. The desk and chair reminded me of hospital. However, a quick clean with disinfectant wipes at least reassured me surfaces were clean. I didn't dare to shower under the showerhead. I was booked for 3 nights and the first day I was quite busy in Geneva. However in the night when trying to do work it was all but impossible. The internet giving me the lowest speeds I had ever done a speedtest on. In the morning the breakfast was very basic. A little better quality and quantity would be nicer. I only found a coffee and a mini pastry appealing. All of this combined; room, internet and breakfast led me to check out early after the first night. Although not inquisitive as to the reasons why, the receptionist was very helpful and friendly in doing so. I am a fan of Accor hotels and silver member. All hotels do vary to different standards. Although the staff were lovely and the communal areas nice, perhaps I just got very unlucky with my room.

Horrible hotel. The room is spacious, but not clean. The bathroom needs an urgent renovation plus a good cleaning. Black hairs in the shower, besides the sink, brr. Electric plugs stop working overnight. Very small outside parking. With 1 badge you can park underground, but be aware that neighbors take up most of the Ibis parkingspaces. The only plus is the staff. The receptionist upon arrival was great and the guy in the morning is also very friendly.

I booked two nights in this hotel back in November and seeing as Accor customer service couldn't be bothered to reply to my complaint in private, I might as well make it public. I stress, do not stay in this hotel. I am a Gold member and love the Accor brand - but this is the worst of the worst. I was checked in by an exceptionally friendly young man who is the singular asset to this hotel. He was brilliant and to be honest, I could tell that he was becoming uneasy and embarrassed by the level of issues I was encountering. I reached the first room I was staying in and saw no issues apart from a few marks and tears in the furniture. It was disappointing but not a deal breaker. Later that evening, I went for a shower, only to find that the bathroom absolutely stank of rotten eggs when the water was running. The shower was also hanging out of the wall to the extent that I was worried it would drop out. As a result, I went down to reception and requested a change. The young man on reception happily obliged and apologised, and gave me another room. This was even worse. Only one power socket worked in the room and the heating was blasting. I was even more astounded to see that the shower was in the exact same state. When I moved it slightly to adjust it, it completely fell out of the wall. What an absolute disgrace. I requested another room change and was eventually given one where the shower wasn't hanging off the wall. It was still shabby but I accepted that it was at least suitable to stay in. Breakfast was mediocre and nothing to write home about, albeit edible. But the disgusting nature of the rooms means that I simply cannot recommend this hotel to anyone. There is a Novotel near the station - stay in that! An utter embarrassment to the Accor brand and I feel for the young man who had to respond to my complaints. He deserves better. Shame on Accor for ever allowing this to be considered Ibis Styles.

Le gros point faible de cet hotel : sa déco qui nécessite un bon relookage, l'ensemble est vieillot et ne fait pas net... C'est vraiment dommage car tout le personnel est charmant,de très bon conseil.La situation ( si on exclut le quartier qui n'est pas top) est parfaite pour se rendre à Genève en 20 mn par le tram, la possibilité de parking est également un point très positif, mais malgré ces points positifs,cet hôtel ne mérite vraiment pas 3 étoiles...

Arrivée très tardive, de GVA Airport. J’ai choisi cet hôtel , avant départ pour Bern, car plus de disponibilité sur Genève et Annemasse suite à un congrès. Chambre propre, silencieuse, matelas confortable. Visio le matin. Wifi à fonctionné impeccablement et m’a permis de tenir ma réunion. Intérêt pour son accès rapide à la gare. Hôtel vétuste, mal entretenu. Nous avons du changer deux fois de chambres: la première sentait le tabac, dans la deuxième la climatisation était en panne. Les trois chambres étaient dans le même état: vieille moquette trouée, poussières sur les plinthes, carreaux ébréchés, pas de rideaux de douche (et inondation de la salle de bain quand on se lave…), peintures mais le personnel est aimable et le petit déjeuner bon. Par ailleurs l’emplacement à proximité du tram qui va à Genève est appréciable.

Hôtel à fuir !! 15 eme nuit dans un hôtel du groupe accor depuis janvier . Le pire hôtel !! Odeur désagréable dans la chambre, j ai dû laisser la fenêtre ouverte tout le séjour . Moquette trouée , cousin canapé idem . Trous dans les murs . Boisson d accueil pour un membre silver , eau ou eau pétillante ( dans les autre hôtel : soft , bière …. Parking à 10€ , quand je reviens à 23h , ma place réservée prise par une autre voiture . J ai dû mettre ma voiture en double file et avoir confiance au veilleur de nuit en lui laissant mes clefs pour qu il déplace ma voiture le lendemain. Une honte pour le groupe accor cet hôtel !!!
