Premier Inn Alnwick

Lovely clean and cosy room, bed comfortable, shower good and clean. WiFi good. Had a few drinks at the bar in the evening. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good and affordable. Definitely recommend staying here and the area and beaches in the area are fabulous.

Lovely staff on reception - very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are spotless with everything you need. Bar open 24 hours and really tasty breakfast in the morning. Brilliant value for money for a warm bed for the night and tasty breakfast. No complaints at all!

Comfortable modern hotel with good parking. Nearby retail services,but a bit of a walk into the town centre. Good access to the A1. Only problem was the evening restaurant service, with not enough staff on duty and no duty manager to resolve technology problems.

The staff at Alnwick were amazing, very professional. We enjoyed our food which was fresh and piping hot. Finally a nice big comfy bed and a Room which was quiet and very clean. What else could we ask for. Thank you for a great stay, we will return!

Have stayed at many Premier Inns and this one had some good, but a lot of teething problems. Firstly, the location was ideal for the town and other attractions in the area. The room was clean and the staff were friendly. There was plenty of parking and the hotel is obviously very new. On the bad side, the food / restaurant left a lot to be desired, except breakfast. Breakfast was excellent, we never had to queue, it was the same member of staff each morning who was very friendly. The food was tasty and hot. The evening meal was a big disappointment. We ordered quickly on the first night, but it took a very long time to arrive, even though the restaurant didn't look very busy at all. We had also booked a meal deal for each day we were there and on the second day, we received a call telling us the restaurant would be closed due to staff shortage / sickness. Our meal deal would be refunded, but they couldn't / wouldn't do this on site and we had to wait for a refund from head office. Annoying, as you could pay for the service on site. They did offer the use of plates / cutlery to anyone ordering a takeaway, but on reading other reviews, notice that closure of the restaurant is quite often. I would stay here again, but I wouldn't expect to eat and would make firm plans for elsewhere.

Was not expecting a standard room to be such a high standard, everything was brilliant apart from a few little things, such as toilet paper was rubbish and not enough for two people, had to ask at reception which was embarrassing. Was nice having heating in the bedroom but did make noises which did not help sleeping. Beds are amazing, super comfortable. Went for breakfast on morning of leaving, had to sit on a table which was not cleared. We both had our breakfast so went to make a cup of coffee to then come back to other people's dirty plates, cups ect dumped on our table! Absolute joke! Only thing I would not recommend is the restaurant for breakfast as not big enough for everyone, staff can not keep up with restocking of goods, customer service, hygiene ect. Over all 10/10 for hotel/bedroom/bed.
