Areias Village Beach Suite Hotel

We stayed in the apartments for four nights. The apartment is spacious, cool enough with the air conditioning and close to the ***** without being impacted by the music or general loudness associated with it. There’s a decent sized pool and plenty of Sun loungers around it. There were people who reserved some loungers with towels despite the tickets attached saying not to do so. It’s not policed by the staff though and some loungers were reserved for hours without people using them. It was ok for when we were there but I imagine it can be frustrating as it gets more busy through the summer. There’s some decent pubs and restaurants nearby and download the bolt app which is easy to use and get you about. We would definitely recommend staying here.

Stayed here in October 2024. It was great. We had a stunning apartment with a big balcony and a pool view. The apartment was well equipped. The beds were comfortable. There were plenty of pillows and blankets The lounge was room and light with massive windows. The bathroom has a bath with a shower over it. Our only small issue was the shower curtain which was on a pole that fell off a couple of times. The hotel provided shampoo body wash and hand soap. The hotel itself was spotless. The pool was nice with a pool bar which did food all day. All in all we had great time

This is our second stay at the hotel having last stayed 2 years ago in August. Pros and positives In my opinion never heard any noise from the club across the road. Very central with lots nearby but without being super noisy. Reception staff are lovely and very keen to help with any issues. Communal areas are really clean including the pool areas. Comfy sun beds and when we were there plenty available. Also don't allow sun bed reservation. Cons and some areas which have gone downhill since last time. The hote rooms are now showing signs of ware. Really grubby grout on bathroom tiles. White towels and bedding ( though I am sure they had been washed ) stained and marked as were the sofa cushions. Plugs in both kitchen and bathroom sink didn't fit which made washing the dishes pretty hard. Standard of cleaning has also in my opinion gone downhill. I knelt on the tiled floor on the 4th day of our 9 day stay to get something from my case and when I got up my knees were dirty so I would hate to have had a crawling baby in the apartment. Other areas of the site are also showing signs of not being properly maintained. The secure front gate which used to be locked at night and you opened it with your own card is broked which made the site feel less secure late on as no one really challenges you walking in and out of the building at any time. The hotel still, even though they are fully self catering apartments with kitchens refuse to allow you to bring a drink or your own snacks to the outside area. This is ridiculous and we have stayed in many other 4 star self catering hotels in albuferia and never had an issue with bringing our own water bottles from the room. Added to this is the ridiculous prices at the pool bar. Again not something we have had issue with in other venues. Personally i like a good snack bar and if they have decent food / drinks we will use them. Currently the bar here charges 4 euros for a can of soft drink and 1.50 for a mini bottle of water and don't expect a smile or a thank you included in the price ! We are really frequent travellers to the area and have made the decision not to choose areias for next year. We do think there are better 4 star aparthotels in the area.

Lovely apartment v clean, helpful and friendly staff. If you have breakfast it's v nice, our only criticism was the hot food wasn't v hot . Also a other small detail they need to address, some of the towels v thin and old, need replacing. Plenty if good places to eat nearby, but have an explore . Walk through the ***** and go to the end , turn left or right, there's places we found more to our liking. Great All you can eat Happy House if you like Chinese food. Walk past the kids area where the mini golf is go down hill , it's on the left. The disco opposite hotel only opened Thurs to sat , we had no trouble with it as we asked for a quiet room at the back. One thing that surprised is the exchange rate out there , far below that at home would advise you take euros with you. We had to change some sterling and the rate was 1.09 but at home if was 1.16. I have been trying to find out why but drawn a blank. We were in Spain in July and the rate was same as at home. We had a great time but I will say we found Portugal more expensive than Spain.

Staff are super polite and welcoming. This is my own honest opinion of this hotel. I don’t feel it’s worthy of a 4 star rating. 1. You can’t put a cheap imitation Nespresso machine in the rooms to bump up your rating. The kitchen is adequate for a simple microwave meal or salad but don’t expect anything more, no oven, utensils are a little naff. No scissors etc. 2. The towels are shocking, multiple holes in them and what looks like hair dye stains all over them. 3. It’s generally very tired looking inside the apartment. Peeling wood in the bathroom, stained kitchen cupboards, broken tiles etc. 4. For a couple of days there was an overwhelming smell of eggs in the room and corridors, when I went to the pool toilets it was overpowering and seems to be the source of said smell. 5. When we leave a room we ***** the beds to help along the cleaning staff. Wish I hadn’t, blood stains all over the duvets. In all; it’s comfortable enough to stay in for a week, like I said reception/ cleaning/ bar staff are lovely and accommodating. Might have been a 4* a while ago but looks like it needs a bit of TLC in the room we stayed in. The shower is nice and powerful, and the air con works a treat, and it’s actually fairly quiet (for none pool facing rooms anyway)

Superb hotel, great location and really friendly helpful staff, outside bar area serving great foot and plenty of beds for pool rooms are cleaned daily and are great size all with a great sized balcony. Supermarkets are walking distance as are restaurants and pubs,the ***** is 15min walk and old town is 10min taxi and never more than 6 euros in taxi.

Modern, spacious apartments in good location - 10 min walk to main beach. Lovely pool area and gardens. Great aircon and large balconies. Plenty of places to eat in area - particularly recommend the Chinese on corner of street - all you can eat included all the sushi, which was amazing. Also recommend Italian Republic restaurant. 6 euros to old town in uber where lots more choice of restaurants - we walked back on beach one evening and road way another. 12 euros to marina. Fantastic boat trip on Dreamer to see caves and dolphins. As we paid a lot of money I do have to mention things that let the Areias Village down. The main issue was sunbeds - 50 for 63 apartments! They could have put more on the grass or created another sunbathing area in other parts of gardens. Not allowed to reserve (which I understand if you're going out and not coming back till later) but they said even if you went in for breakfast or lunch towels would be removed. You were not allowed to eat round pool so a big issue and we would not return solely for this reason. Other minor points - showers very poor water pressure and very small and thin towels provided. Sofa bed was leather so very uncomfortable - sheet kept sliding off!

We stayed here for 7 days self catering in a 1 bed apartment for a family of 4. The hotel had everything we needed for a great stay. Our apartment was larger than expected with a large wrap around balcony. The bed settee was perfect for our teen/ pre teen kids and the kitchenette had everything you could need for sorting breakfast and lunch if you wish. The pool was big enough for a lovely dip too, with a variety of inflatables supplied by the hotel and summer dance tunes to give a lovely vibe. It is well situated, fairly short walk (5 - 15 mins) to 3 different beaches. Only 5 minutes walk to the ***** and numerous restaurants and small supermarkets. The nightclub almost opposite was no issue and didn't disturb us at all. Definitely recommend the very cheap Ubers into the old town aswell. We'd definitely stay here again and highly recommend

Not a 4 star No where near enough sunbeds Can't have your own food and drink round the pool this is a sc hotel Perhaps if they didn't charge 4 euro for a can of pop or a very small bowl of chips for 4 euro u wouldn't be that bothered 1 euro 50 for water Said dosent havevstag hen parties over 4 pple that's wrong there as a group of 8 Hotel not worth the price Staff all friendly Stop letting people just walk in so paying guests have to lay on grass that's wet paid alot of money for this hotel and had to lay on grass management weren't bothered
