What a lovely hotel, most staff were friendly & accommodating...however, there wasn't a fan in the room and it only had hopper windows, im still waiting on the one I asked for, was told by other guests they had a fan in the room. I also paid extra (most were vouchers for our Christmas) but I put another £30 for room with lake view....?...but you can't see it for the scaffolding...I said at reception and was told she would speak to boss as she couldn't issue a refund but someone would email me later....im still waiting!
I did hold off from this review, but again I'm disappointed as no one has gotten in touch ! We had a room with a dog, the worst place to put dogs is right above the car park, every car door that slammed shut just set her off...if we had been informed there was work going on I could have changed my dates....but we weren't.
Shower instructions don't match the shower, but when we eventually got hot water (after 35mins) it was just a trickle...though we were better off than some other guests...the second floor had no water at all on the Sunday morning!
Gardens were lovely, and bar prices were not too bad !
