"Very nice onsen hotel, onsen with good view but specific time period for male and female to use the pool with view at 11 floor. My dinner timing slot was specified to be  at 7:30-9pm but when a go in at 7:30pm sharp most other guests are already inside. At 8:30pm food are already gone!"

"If you wish to visit Huis Ten Bosch and stay there overnight, I would highly recommend this hotel. It is walking distance from the Huis Ten Bosch train station and to the theme park. You can arrive in the morning, store your luggage, enter the theme park and spend the whole day there before checking in at night. The room is spacious and clean for me. However, I would say that there are no walking distance convenience stores if you are feeling hungry at night and wish to have some food or snacks. I only stayed there for one night and for the price I paid, I am satisfied with my stay there."

"I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have had in Japan. I booked a Run of House (ROH) room for my family. The booking description stated that room sizes range from 28 to 38 square meters. Based on that description, I reasonably expected that room assignments would be allocated fairly within that range. Upon check-in, I initially asked whether it would be possible to have a room facing Huis Ten Bosch. I fully understood when I was told that a park-facing room would require an additional charge, as such rooms are often sold at a premium. However, after entering the room, I realized that I had been assigned what appeared to be the smallest and least desirable room available. At that point, I was no longer asking for a park view. I simply asked whether it would be possible to have a slightly larger room, especially since the ROH description clearly stated that room sizes range from 28 to 38 square meters. What made the experience particularly frustrating was that I had already read reviews from other guests who booked the same ROH category and received significantly better rooms. One guest mentioned being assigned a park-view room after making a request, while another guest appeared to have received one of the hotel’s best room categories despite booking ROH. When I politely asked why other guests with the same booking category seemed to receive much better room assignments while I was given the smallest room available, the front desk was unable to provide a clear explanation. Instead, I was repeatedly told that any room change would require an upgrade fee. At one point, I was even told to contact the booking platform and ask the platform to pay for the room change. This response made very little sense. I was not asking for a free upgrade. I was simply asking for transparency and consistency regarding how ROH rooms are allocated. After a lengthy discussion, the hotel eventually moved us to a slightly larger room. However, the replacement room was located on the lowest floor, at the far end of the corridor, with a partially obstructed theme park view. While I appreciated the effort, it reinforced the impression that alternative rooms were available, yet no clear explanation was ever provided regarding the original room assignment. My disappointment is not that I did not receive the best room. I fully understand that ROH bookings do not guarantee upgrades. My concern is that the hotel advertises a room size range of 28–38 square meters, creating the expectation that room assignments may reasonably vary within that range. If ROH guests are always assigned the smallest and least desirable room available, even when larger rooms remain vacant, then the hotel should simply advertise the room as 28 square meters. That would allow guests to make an informed decision before booking. For families travelling with children, room size matters. Had the listing clearly indicated that ROH guests would receive a 28-square-meter room, I would likely have selected a different room category from the beginning. The hotel itself is in a convenient location and the facilities are generally good. However, the handling of this situation left a very negative impression. Based on this experience, I would strongly recommend booking a specific room category rather than ROH, so that expectations are clear from the outset."

"Das Sasebo View Hotel macht seinem Namen alle Ehre. Ein Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel bedeutet, dass Sie nicht erst verschiedene Aussichtsplattformen mit umständlichen öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln anfahren müssen, um die Aussicht auf Kujukushima zu genießen. Das Hotel selbst ist ein malerischer Ort am Berg Yubari. Die Aussichtsplattform Yubari-take ist nur 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Der Shuttlebus ist pünktlich und zuverlässig, das Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine große Auswahl und die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und aufmerksam."

"Wir waren ein 70-jähriges Paar und reisten zusammen. Das Beste daran war die fantastische Aussicht bei Nacht. Es war toll, dass wir sie von jedem Zimmer aus gleichmäßig sehen konnten. Das Personal war außerdem sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir wurden mit dem Minibus vom Bahnhof Nagasaki abgeholt und wieder zurückgebracht, was praktisch war. Das Bad und das Frühstück waren ausgezeichnet. Ich würde dieses Hotel meinen Freunden empfehlen. Das Einzige, was mich störte, war der etwas laute Kühlschrankmotor. Allerdings war ich vom vielen Gehen tagsüber müde und habe tief und fest geschlafen."

"I was quite disappointed with this booking made via Trip.com. I specifically booked a Deluxe Japanese Western style room with an outdoor hot bath, as the outdoor hot bath was a key reason for choosing this room. Upon check-in, I discovered that there was no outdoor hot bath, and I was informed that the room I had booked was not available. Initially, I was told that I had booked a room that did not include a hot tub. However, after checking my booking details, it was clear that the room I reserved was indeed supposed to come with an outdoor hot bath. To their credit, the hotel staff did try to assist by finding a last-minute alternative room that still had a bathtub that comes with a view. However, this replacement room had a much more limited view compared to the original room we had chosen, and it was not equivalent to what was advertised and booked. Additionally, the window in the room was quite flimsy and dirty, and with the temperature being rather cold, this further affected the comfort of the stay. Because we had a very limited itinerary, a significant amount of time was spent resolving this issue and arranging a replacement room. As a result, some of our planned activities had to be cancelled, which further impacted the overall experience. Overall, this was a rather disappointing experienc eespecially because this was the first time I had booked this type of room as a surprise for my girlfriend, who was really looking forward to the outdoor hot bath. Unfortunately, the key feature that made this booking special was missing, which significantly affected the stay. I hope that Trip.com can take note of this issue and ensure that rooms are marked as unavailable once fully booked, to prevent similar situations from happening to other guests."
